Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.
I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.
Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.
Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.
No personal family information or situations allowed in the thread.

OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. I don't see a problem with him creating a newsletter and charging for it. I doubt there will be more than 5 people that would be interested in that and that's being generous.
The newsletter looks like it was made by an 8 year old.
It sounds like an 8 year old's idea of how to make money too lol.
Waiting for Diesrl to open up a lemonade stand and start making print copies of his newsletters and trying to sell them to people in poker rooms.

It's really quite amazing how Trooper and Diesel have so many rabid supporters.
Trooper did a live stream from the Sprkli channel of them bagging up brittle yesterday. At one point, it was over 100 viewers. To watch Trooper bag up candy. No wonder they are expanding the candy empire to keep up with demand.
Rice and Troop are operating at their peak performance in their final form of capabilites as content creators, hustlers, and grown men.

Looking at his Hilarious & Incorrect Poker Table Quotes of his newsletter, I can see why he enjoys poker so much.
There are so many mouth breathers in the games he plays in saying things that don't make sense, and he gets to feel superior in correcting them all. lol
Not just that but he proceeds to explain why they are wrong in the newsletter. Just cause the person who said it was wrong, doesn't mean the vast majority of the public can't figure it out.

4 pages out of his "newsletter" is devoted to just quotes from the poker table with Rice's explanations of why they are idiotic. Of course he's the only one who understands so he needs to explain it to us like we are little children.
His road trip data that he includes in the newsletter you would think would have some mention of his poker results. Of course it's only a break down of his expenses along with miles driven, states "visited" and number of Wawa stops. All much more interesting for the viewer than meaningless poker results!

Generally when people give the whole hater spiel and how others are jealous, they don’t make 25% less than people who work at gas stations
He loves a good argument so much that he blocks anyone who wins one against him and deletes their comments.
He's trying to put his years at law school to good use. It's just a shame that he hasn't come up against any worthy adversaries on his YouTube comments section thus far.
That being said, I haven't seen him win a single debate. He just resorts to calling people miserable and assumes everyone who isn't playing 1/2 for a living like him must be wasting their life away like a sucker!
Could we stop with the mythical $100k dividend stock portfolio nonsense?
When El Diesel first starting talking about this, I did some digging as I have a nice chunk of my portfolio in dividend stocks and thought maybe I was missing something.
Based on his stated returns and goals, the math just wasn't mathing. It is just another example of his alternative reality universe he lives in.

In the real world, I've made many adjustments including selling a long held dividend REIT stock and went into i-bonds and simple 1 year CDs because of current interest rates.
An example would be Verizon, paying around 6.4% dividend (one of the highest yields for DOW stocks), unfortunately the stock price has declined and you would have a total return of -11% over the last three years. I'm sure El Diesel could come up with a smug explanation of why you are miserable if this high dividend stock isn't in your portfolio.
Altria (Philip Morris) is paying 9.84%. There are also etf's that use a covered call strategy that are yielding over 10%.

One of his goals for 2024 was to add new income streams, this is obviously his grand plan of doing that. He likely thinks he has about 100 "super fans" that will pay the monthly subscription.
The main problem is that the newsletter is going to just be taking stuff that he already includes in his vlogs already anyway. The poker related content of his videos is already almost not existant and hes taking the little that there is and effectively putting it behind a paywall.
He must be getting desperate to go down this path but he'd actually be better off just asking for straight up donations rather than doing this absurd newsletter idea and cannibalizing his channel in the process.

He for sure is starting to get desperate yeah. As he mentioned before multiple times he had a bad 2023,and he is also starting off this year with running bad. The games get tougher every year, rake increases and Diesel is stuck in his supernit afraid of any swings mindset year after year while other players improve.
