Also Durant having a shooting split of 54/42/90 since he came back from an achilles injury just seems insane.

Scoring has also looked easier for Durant than any player in my lifetime.

haven't thought much about the bulls lately for obv reasons, but yeah wth are they doing exactly?

https://defector.com/the-bulls-are-parke...

Other teams were interested in Chicago's guys: Golden State reportedly came asking about ace defender Alex Caruso, the 76ers reportedly poked around backup center Andre Drummond, and the Bulls reportedly fielded inquiries about 35-year-old DeMar DeRozan. Karnisovas wasn't interested in anything that would make his team at all worse, even just for the remaining 30 games of this regular season. "We want to stay competitive. We have an obligation to this organization, this fan base and this city to stay competitive and compete for the playoffs, and that’s what we’re doing." [...] The Bulls are now the only team in the NBA not to have made any trades within a week of the trade deadline in any of the past three seasons, per ESPN

so many teams are weirdly just chillin being below mid. i get that being bad bad really sucks, but being one step better than that for years does too

Doc's COTY in Orlando with a ragtag group beforehand helps with that carriage.

What most don't remember was the year he had in LAC before Kawhi. That was a pretty impressive return on that roster.

I'm not overly a Doc guy (as a coach) but his charisma is undeniable. I wish he'd stayed on TV, I thought he was great as a broadcaster.

Didn't watch them against Memphis (and actually bet Memphis on the ML) but Bulls were pretty impressive against Minny (where I similarly had them as a ML dog at home).

I model them similar to the Lakers.

48 wins in a decent conference with your top minutes guys as rookie SGA, the Lou Will/Trez combo, and a wing rotation of Tobias/Gallinari/Avery Bradley was pretty fun.

If they could somehow have kept SGA out of that trade.. sigh

Sweet Louie Louie Will was the ****ing man.

the Nuggets have zero pride, zero accountability. They're a joke of a defending champion. They're barely even a team.

They basically have the best record in the West.

Lakers had all 5 starters score 20+ tonight.

Anyone know how many other teams have done that this year/ever?

They have an elevation gimmick home court advantage. They are 21-4 at home. Due to elevation I imagine most teams just punt a 2nd night of a road B2B or the first night even.

Durant is the most talented scorer ever, by far. It's a shame he's a mentally weak loser.

Put Jalen Brunson’s mind in Durant’s body and he’d be the GOAT.

I've checked, that "gimmick" doesn't go away in the playoffs.

Anyway Denver are favourites to come out of the West, so I'm not sure calling them a "joke of a defending champion" seems fit. I can go back over the last several years and find a few worse, including the Warriors.

Doesn't make it any less of a gimmick, and that's assuming they get home court in the West. Which as a "joke of a defending champion" they probably won't.

Mavs with Gafford (and also PJ Washington) have been amazing today (up 110(!) to 89 thru 3Q vs OKC). Gafford 19/9 (with 4 oreb) thru 3Q's in 15 mins. and the Wizards basically gave him away for next to nothing???

Mavs definitely are underrated. Man there are so many good teams this year, it's so much fun vs having some cupcake bitch like Durant breaking the league for multiple years because he's so unbelievably insecure.

Booker is not though. I feel he carries Durant to 1 more title. Phoenix has a ridiculous +- with their big 3.

I'd say everyone except maybe Gordon is a big fraud on this team. And that's their flaw. Although the last 3 NBA champions have had just 1 star. So maybe that's the new model for success.

Braun also is not on a good trajectory at year 2. Also Reggie Jackson is fing terrible. Such a downgrade from Bruce Brown.

the Nuggets are sorely missing Bruce Brown. Plus they're not a good 3 point shooting team so if you get up a decent amount on them it's pretty much a WRAP!

Random tangent. Why is KAT an all-star. The guy is an all-time loser and he puts a hard cap on the Wolves title equity. I want Wemby or even Gobert deserves to be there more this year.

I'm super happy the Knicks didn't trade for KAT.
That's all I know.

Pacers: 100% healthy save for their back up Center

Knicks: 4 starters out, Bunson questionable but will play.

Odds are only Pacers -5. Tells you everything you need to know. This team is a joke, legit chance they lose tonight.

I will say, that's a pretty sick play tho

Wow that’s nice.

Wow that’s nice.

12 years ago to the day, in the same building. That's kinda eerie
