Bump.

Chili, charred salsa verde, pigs in blanket. May add a fourth dish but haven't been inspired yet.

Smoking a brisket.
Smoking buffalo wings

Going to a small party. Taking taco dip and a veggie tray.

My duties this year include smashsliders on hawaian rolls with cheese and pickles.

Watching party of about a dozen people. Doing bacon wrapped jalapenos stuffed with shrimp and sharp cheddar cheese on my tailgate charcoal grill.

One of the guys is bringing chili. Dude has no culinary skills and I don't expect it to be much better than Wolf Brand. Still too lazy to make mine and embarrass his ass.

Pot luck, so who knows what else will be there.

Also, if you're in a pinch to bring something, the easiest dip in the world is a large jar of hot Pace Picante sauce and a pint of sour cream. Keep refrigerated and mix together when ready to serve with your tortilla chips of choice. Cracks me up when people ask for the recipe.

Much smaller than usual group this year due to people traveling. I'm just making a basic chili and cornbread, can't even get away with jazzing them up so any heat will be added separately.

Thinking brownies for a dessert.

Smoked wings, with some bourbon peach wing sauce, smoked bacon wrapped jalepeno poppers, and rotel dip. Easy peasy year

Almost forgot, trying these too: Mozzarella 'Sticks'

whip in a little cream cheese and really blow their mind.

only ingredients acquired so far are two summer sausages from xmas and some triscuit thins

we've been having lots of fun with cicheti recently
fresh italian loaf or polenta slices with a variety of ingredients, mostly sum ratio of meat oil veg cheese
imagine a scenario where guests construct their own topper from a bar and you happily fire it under the broiler for them

Duly noted. Probably help with the consistency a bit too.

Just wings. My small contributions to this thread:

Mix medium buffalo sauce and garlic/parmesan sauces for your wings, and toss 'em in that. A little bit of heat plus the richness of the g/p. Yum!

On the chips/dip front. The Mexican bar/restaurant where my bar-poker league plays offers queso, of course. As an option, they will cut up a flour tortilla or two, and fry them. They puff up a little bit. I assume it's a quick dip in oil, not sure, but that is a remarkably good difference.

Never thought I’d be making recipes via barstool, but Donny is legit.

Love Donny.

Browned some beef short ribs for the chili

Took some dried chilis and simmered them in stock to reconstitute, then toasted some cumin, clove, and coriander, ground that up, and blended it all together with tomato paste and some chocolate, coffee, soy sauce, and worcestershire to get a chili base (this is all basically Kenji's recipe)

Had an Italian Pilsner while I did it all

Prepped veggies for the salsa

Yah baby

my friends aren't having a super bowl party cuz they're lame (or they're having one and decided not to include me, who the **** knows)

so I have 40% off ubereats.. i was debating between qdoba double protein bowl cholula hot and sweet chicken + brisket birria and guac n chips OR popeyes 5 pc + large mashed n gravy upgrade + popcorn shrimp

last time i got qdoba it was amazing so i opted for that. was a real close call.

if you haven't tried the cholula hot and sweet chicken u should cuz its ****ing great.

she'll never know how your cut and paste underscores wasteful inefficiencies in the biological system of website

Sliders were incredible, mozzarella sticks were a big hit.
