i'm a bit confused on cash vs comp (implied/imputed value)

SHOCKINGLY,

i see circus and strat at $80 per night friday to monday (checkout)... these are the standard.hotels for cheap hotels on the strip (poorly located on strip)

and MGM at $160 per night.

i assumed.superbowl would be like FI weekend

In a way it is. F1 weekend tanked even more at the end .

I have several Caesars properties listed for 70-100 a night for Friday. A week ago they were all showing 400-600 for the same properties . Saturday they're showing 200-400 for those same rooms and a week ago the cheapest was 600.

just searched for caesars properties, and for the dates tomorrow thru monday flamingo and linq are willing to comp a low roller like me, horseshoe and harrahs will charge ya $50 more a night. probably wise to add resort fees to all

yeah thats why i thought the prices listed in the OP were high..

i personally have mgm at 22 a night for saturday and sunday and comped at boyds which worked out because my gf's mom decided to show up on super bowl Sunday

I looked just now at MGM and for me even Excalibur is at $292/night

but I did check vegas.com just now and booked Friday night at Westgate for $65 +rf. I gotta drive to the airport and back Saturday morning and that plan is way better than driving all the way up to a relative in NW Vegas

hindsightish comment. as i thought hotels would be really expensive

but super bowl attendance isn't that big compared to number of hotels

winter weather so may not get as many as say a Miami Super Bowl for people just enjoyimg Super Bowl weekend and not going to game

expensive sports books and fear of expensive hotel rooms too

On crazy weekends like this one, I always find it best to stay in non-brand name hotels, like Hilton Sheraton etc

Reading the recent posts about how prices had dropped, out of curiosity I had my wife check her offers while we were driving up tonight. She had Friday-Monday fully comped(including resort fees) at Excalibur, plus the same $60 in free play and $100 resort credit my offer had.

We now have 2 rooms at Excalibur, lol.

if you go to the check in counters all the way to the right (for gold+) they wont care what status you are if you tip that 10/20 .will save you a long line.

This saved me a ton of time. Thank you!

Well, the main reason I had her book her offer was for the free play and resort credit. This sounds ridiculous, but tonight we're actually sleeping in separate rooms. We both know we'll get a better night of sleep with our own beds. I'm not sure what we're doing with it the next 2 nights though. I might see if any Arizona buddies can make it up for a couple nights.
