Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.
I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.
Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.
Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.
No personal family information or situations allowed in the thread.

OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

Yeah, but not really. He could easily just stock up on water and gatorade at Walmart and keep them in his car. Sure, a casino store might charge 3 bucks for a 20 oz water and 4 bucks for a gatorade, but they would be less than a dollar at walmart.
Couple of things. When I said benefits of Diamond Plus I was also including under that the benefits of regular Diamond like waived resort fees, cheaper strip room offers and bypassing the waitlist for poker.
Also don't discount the value of Rice getting to feel like he's somebody important. This guy is one step away from being a street bum but when he's in a Ceasars casino he gets to pretend he's a high roller even though we all know that he's anything but.

You get that stuff with ordinary Diamond. Plus only gives you the 4 drinks.
Interview with trooper is interesting, the recent development of the guy who never lies admitting he was lying about the poker vlog thing is fun. Didnt realize he made that much from youtube for a couple months, no wonder el diesel looks up to him so much, he probably thinks hes one of the richest players in poker history. Did he work at maggianos AFTER that?

Ive been 7 stars the last 2 or 3 years, never used a drink coupon once, had 2 celebration dinners go unused this last year. Luckily i own enough water i dont have to, an embarrassment of riches. El diesel if he reads that will throw up

Put another way; he wouldn't be able to survive without his benefits. He only manages to save a whopping 2k per year currently but he wouldn't be able to even come close to covering his cost of living if it were not for his Ceasars Rewards.

It's not for a dumb challenge though. It's during 5x tier promotion. He's hoping tier earned at poker is multiplied again as apparently it wasn't the last few times in Vegas. Apparently they still do in Council Bluffs so I imagine he'll try to time a trip during a multiplier.
Diamond Plus is worth a ton to him. All the cheap rooms with resort fees waived, going to the top of the list at Caesars and Horseshoe unless there's Seven Stars on there, four free drinks etc.
So he's missing out on a few hundred tier credits which won't make a difference at the end of the year.
Don't get me wrong I like having high status with Caesars also but missing 2-3 hours of this multiplier that he might not even actually get is meaningless.

You don't understand. Diesel sets up challenges so he has something to shoot for and for content.
Too bad he doesn't do an increase my hourly by getting better at poker challenge.
Making a short and ranting about it is where there's an issue.
Nothing wrong with asking if a milkshake is covered with his voucher, but 99% of people would say oh thats too bad and move on with their day.
Diesel is now going to have a lifetime boycott and talk about how that restaurant screwed him.
Same as all his previous jobs, mock trial, how he can't get hired as a lawyer.
Just another example of his social issues getting in his way.
He still holds a grudge against the kid who had a bigger piece of cake on his 8th birthday.

it's actually amazing he was considering passing up dinner with his friend for this pointless meaningless challenge. forcing hours in poker isn't how you make money anyway. it would be one thing if he just happened to be in a batshit crazy good game you can't leave but he acts like he's punching a time clock which is a mistake a lot of people make.

One is something he changed in the middle of a challenge to achieve his goal easier. The other is turning down an invite to dinner with a close friend for some meaningless challenge.

i never ripped him for failing at his challenges bc his challenges are always stupid and pointless and have no real penalty for failing.
Sounds like OMC is done with poker, or maybe just poker vlogs. Maybe he can't play on Trooper Sundays, so won't have anything he can easily film anymore.
