It's funny listening to 28-year olds talk. Weird but compelling. After a while you realize you're not on the radar.

I hear 18-40 year olds among my students. And some of my friend's kids, girls, who are mid-twenties. They are all nice kids, but the world confuses them in so many ways.
Has it always been so?

Read a study some neurologists did where they studied the part of the brain in both men and women when they saw a member of the opposite sex.
If a man sees an unattractive woman, it triggers the part of the brain where he feels annoyance.
If a woman sees an unattractive man, it triggers total apathy - like she doesn't even see him.
I went to a concert the other night and there were a bunch of old guys there. I can't be one of them, can I?
Also, if you have been to a class reunion, are the men or the women harder to identify? (I get the feeling that most of you haven't been to a class reunion, though.)

lol I haven't been back to my high school since the day I graduated. Hated that place.

I went to our 50 year reunion. It was nice to see a few old friends, and I had the chance to talk with a few people I didn't know all that well in high school.
Sad, though, seeing a board with pictures of people who have died, including a couple of very good friends: two former roommates and one colleague.

I haven't been back to high school once, but am still in contact with the kids I hung out with. All the guys I played sports with meet up once a year during March Madness and do a bunch of stuff that makes our wives's eyeses roll. Guys have no trouble with perpetual childhood. Some girls have a problem with it. No one understands why.
My best friends are mostly from high school and college. We live close to each other, so we get together a couple times a month. A couple live out of state, but we still meet up a few times a year. I can't imagine making new friends at my age, and it's kinda nice knowing each other's idiosyncrasies.

Some of these guys I walked to kindergarten with. Nothing I say or do can alarm them--they know me too well. I love being with my pals.
Nobody can make me laugh like my old classmates. I have been to several reunions, and am going to another in April. It was a boys' school, however, so I am unable to assist with the gender question.
Got an invite to a high school reunion a while back. Their big thing was they were going to have a "point party".
Back in the high school days, young people would go out to Wisconsin Point to party. Since nobody lived out there, we could be loud and drink. Mostly freezing our asses off.
Haven't kept in touch with any of my classmates. Traveling ~1000 miles to go stand out in the cold didn't appeal, so no.
Keep in touch with a few college friends, but get-togethers are dynamic. I might be near St. Louis/MSP and see the guys, or they here. Nothing formal like a reunion.
