Survivor: GENERAL THREAD
I wanted to post something Survivor related but realized there's no general thread about Survivor. Each thread is about a particular season or votes for hottest, best, etc.
Given that who knows when/if the show will come back, here's a general thread to post all things Survivor.
I won't ruin the OP with my content post, so it will come next.

Jelensky with one of the worst showings ever. Literally every decision he made was wrong
He had no idea what was going on.
I can't remember hating a cast more after one episode than I hate this cast. Season looks like it's going to blow.
On the sweat challenge, it seems like there were many other ways to do this that could have been better. Put one bucket inside the other and offset the holes, hold the bucket against your body to plug a couple holes, 2 guys carry one bucket so they can plug more holes at once. Or maybe they tried everything but they edited it out to make jelensky look stupid.
WOW, was Jess bad at this game.

Fortunately for her, she had an even worse tribemate.
I skipped the last few seasons because the show was getting so focused on casting people for all the wrong reasons, and nothing last night changed my mind.
Venus tho
Bhanu cant win
Jelensky is that guy who thought he was Tyson but was actually Coach or Phillip. He achieved his goal of being legendary, in that he was legendarily bad.
Cast seems really weak this year. I felt like there was six people I could see being voted out really quickly - Jelensky, Jess, Moriah, Soda, Liz, Charlie. For people who looked like they had a clue and could go far...maybe Tiffany and Maria? A few that look like clear early merge boots in Q and Venus.
Found the premier very boring personally.
Sweat vs Savy, 3 person journey about losing votes, vote losing Beware advantage, 3 tribes of 6 with very basic dynamics due to so little numbers.
We've now seen the exact same thing 6 seaosns in a row. Jeff really needs to wake up
No one told their coming out story. So we have that to look forward to!
Still constantly shocked that there are so many clueless people who get cast, but I guess that's just people. How do you not think that giving up during a challenge on the first day isn't going to put a massive target on your back? And Jess...just wow. Even Liz coming out and saying she has two businesses and being arrogant about it was idiotic. Charlie gave me Spencer vibes until he started talking and then blew the savvy challenge. Venus is hot as hell and yes, very Parvati like but obviously doesn't have the ability to flirt.
I feel like that sweat challenge was basically impossible the way they showed it, but you should still keep going until you fail. Filling two containers that big was never going to happen. I know production tests challenges beforehand, but that sweat challenge was quite different than previous seasons IIRC.
Would much rather see two tribes of 9 because that would make for much better social game at the beginning. They should go back to that.

This cast seems terrible so far, but in fairness it almost always takes a few episodes for the more interesting personalities to come to the forefront. Still holding out hope. But it's a bad sign that I was sitting there mid-episode, and wondering if I should just watch Boston Rob on Deal or No Deal instead.
Also Moriah gives me serious Carrie Brownstein from Portlandia vibes
I hate to say it, but this season seems like a DEI casting director put them together. Not a random cross section of the people I see.

Terrible sequence. I dont watch The Traitors but that’s what it is in my head. It felt like Survivor poorly aping stuff like that.
LOL Jelinsky. Oscar worthy performance.
Bhanu's crazy but I also feel like he's very Yam-Yam esque. I think he could win people over.
Before Jelinksy fades into obscurity forever, I’d be remiss if I didnt point out his severe lack of bulge. Brave of him to walk around in his underpants in that state
