WSOP just updated all Toronto C events from freezeout to re-entry after selling out on some
Is this normal for WSOP?

and yet the WSOP site structure sheet still shows the $1k as a freezeout lol.
Where did you hear they are no longer freeze outs? I purchased the 1k and 2k tickets yesterday and they told me they are freeze outs.
I joined the $400 over the $250 because I prefer freezeouts. I heard the $250s are sold out so I'm stuck. I also bought a main event ticket but I'm reading they will keep $250 of it as an administrative fee. The TOS for the WSOP events state they can bait-n-switch you any day or time they want. What's the point in playing in the main event with one bullet? What happens if another table has two players who keep rebuying - rebuy events encourage chip dumping. By doing this they give edges to people with more money to burn. To top it off, WSOP can't supply the dealers within Canada and therefore we will be using dealers who shove pots the wrong way and fold your whole cards when you are already all-in. Rumor has it they will use cashier/cage staff to deal if they can't find 45+ dealers. https://twitter.com/nadirlalji/status/17...
They get away with this because not enough people raise a stink about it!
Refresh the website to update.

The new re-entry format for the main event. Does anyone know if it's unlimited rebuys or limited rebuys?
If you lose at level-6 on 1A, can you rebuy at level-1 on 1B/1C etc?
Correct me if I'm wrong but changing the main event to a re-entry gives people 3 fresh starts at getting to day2?
Just spoke to the poker room... it's unlimited re-buys/re-entries for the first 4 hours for each day 1 event... doesn't matter which of the 3 day 1 events you play in... The Main event is not sold out yet.
There are a couple scenarios... You can re-buy on each day... or you could... play 1A re-buy a bunch of times and bust out... then register as an alternate for 1B and 1C and do it all over again.
Looks like they changed it again... now it's a re-entry not a re-buy... a slight difference.
Looks like they changed it again... now they start at 9AM as per the main page but the structure links still report a 11AM start. I wonder how many empty seats will be blinding off for 2 hours ¯\_(ツ😉_/¯

I read it as seat assignments starting at 915am, and the tournament starting at 11am. Eg. If you show up at 11am, and there's an hour long check in line, then cards are being dealt and your chips are being blinded off while you wait to check in and get your seat assignment.
In other words, show up at 915 to check in and get your seat assignment, then come back and sit down at 11am when it starts.
Anyone play the first event today ? How well did the seating assigning go ?
