Capitol attack and 6th of January hearings

So, this explains how Trump authorised the national guard troops for Jan 6 and that his authorisation was then rejected (in writing) by mayor Muriel Bowser. He is not allowed under the constitution to order deployment of those troops himself apparently. That's the whole insurrection narrative debunked right there.
^Why do you keep posting this crap, how is it relevant to Jan. 6th? Trump prior to Jan. 6th asks for NG troops to protect his cult followers from the leftist boogeyman. Mayor realizing this isn’t a rational threat says no. End of story not relevant.
Also Kash Patel is an anti American, anti freedom, anti democracy scumbag hack. Why would any sane person listen to his ****.

On the contrary it is highly relevant.
Because if Trump intended to stage an insurrection why would he request 100000 national guard troops to be there? National guard troops that would be not be under his control. National guard troops that could be used to stop an insurrection taking place. They would hinder his plans not aid them. It makes zero sense. Therefore it clearly debunks the lie that Trump intended the insurrection to take place.
Comprendo?
The lie of the righteous insurrection has become central to Trump’s effort to return to the White House.
The attempt to rewrite the history of Jan. 6, 2021,
to convince America that the attempt by Donald Trump
and his fanatical supporters to overthrow the U.S. government
was, in fact, a principled protest undertaken by virtuous patriots.
This “hostages” lie is something Trump repeats seemingly at every opportunity.
“They ought to release the J6 hostages. They’ve suffered,”
The Justice Department has charged more than 1,200 people with federal crimes
related to that day; about 730 have pled guilty, while another 170 were convicted at trial.
They’ve received sentences ranging from a few days to 22 years in prison.
On the contrary it is highly relevant.

The answer is Trump wouldn't request 10,000 national guard troops to be there, he would order them to be there. Here is an article that describes the Wa...:
"Under federal law, the president is the commander-in-chief of the D.C. Guard. The president authorizes the secretary of defense to supervise and control the D.C. Guard while in its militia status (i.e., not deployed overseas). The secretary may order the Guard mobilized to aid D.C. civil authorities, but subject only to the direction of the president."
Here is another article by PolitiFact th...:
"A Defense Department spokesman said the department "has no record of such an order being given" by Trump.
In June 2020, Trump did mobilize the National Guard, as well as other federal agencies, in Washington in response to protests over police brutality. "
I don't get why Trumpists are so intent on supporting Trump's lies. You are entitled to your opinions. But understand that when you spew utter nonsense it make you look bad.
maybe he had to request them from Putin?
"Washington DC Mayor Murial Bowser testified before Congress on Tuesday. Bowser testified before the House Oversight Committee. Bowser told lawmakers, “We requested the DC National Guard to support our activities,” on January 6th."
"Washington DC Mayor Murial Bowser testified before Congress on Tuesday. Bowser testified before the House Oversight Committee. Bowser told lawmakers, “We requested the DC National Guard to support our activities,” on January 6th."
Everything the Mayor said is true basically. She did not control the deployment of the DC National Guard nor would any Mayor of Washington DC.
Trump as President controlled the National Guard in DC. As was noted in the above articles I posted.
Trump can pretend he requested the National Guard and that the Mayor denied the request. But It's just another lie.
If Trump wanted the National Guard deployed in DC he could order the Secretary of Defense to do it. But either he didn't issue the order or the Secretary of Defense didn't follow through on the order. Or the President issued a request to the Defense Secretary and the Defense Secretary didn't do it for whatever reason. But if that's the case then it means that Trump didn't understand his own authority or how to execute his own authority.
Brian james probably think the election was stolen and trump should be the president anyway .
I mean why trying to defend the January 6 so badly?
The whole purpose of people being there and believing trump was already ******ed and the worst is trump still maintain the election was stolen presently !!!
And bj keep defending that lie and still support trump lol.

It has been corroborated.

great article.
they were able to incorporate in the story the words pelosi, secrets, i remember i believe, antifa and left wing group....
yup typical not much but allegation like all the star witness in the laptop story which end up being :" huh i cant testify that..."
It has been corroborated.
Trump did not need the Mayor of Washington DC's approval for bringing in the National Guard. Trump was in control of the national Guard. Trump made the choice not to bring in the National Guard.
And when the National Guard was finally brought in, Trump blames his own Secretary of Defense for not bringing them in sooner.
'Once the Capitol was breached, the Trump White House pushed for immediate help from Acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller and grew frustrated at the slow deployment of that help, according to the testimony.
“So then I remember the chief saying, ‘Hey, I’m calling secretary of defense to get that [quick reaction force] in here,” Ornato said. Later he said, “And then I remember the chief telling Miller, ‘Get them in here, get them in here to secure the Capitol now.'” '
So basically Trump pretends that the National Guard wasn't there because it was rejected by the Mayor, then he blames his own appointed Secretary of Defense for not getting them there sooner. The funny thing is that the people who are quoted trying to protect Trump may or may not be telling the truth about what was said in private.
Either Trump decided to bring in the troops late and doesn't want to look bad (and has people lying for him) or Trump is completely incompetent in terms of having any idea about the process of getting the National Guard in. It could be both...
joe6pack,
Are you seriously contending that the DC mayor takes precedence over the POTUS with respect to the National Guard? Is that really what you believe?
It has been corroborated.
says the wrong person "pushed". nobody cares what the chief of staff wants in this case.
the sec never ordered.
"Deputy Chief of Staff Anthony Ornato’s first transcribed interview with the committee was conducted on January 28, 2022. In it, he told Cheney and her investigators that he overheard White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows push Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser to request as many National Guard troops as she needed to protect the city."
This is good. And the documentary Against All Enemies itself, no doubt. Hope to see it soon
If Trump could order the national guard to help steal the election, why would he need unarmed rioters to do it?
Brian James, can you conceive of the wording of a written order to (who?), instructing the National Guard to steal the election? How does the U.S. National Guard go about stealing an election?
A mob did surround the capital building; insurrectionists did force their way into the building; they did physically threaten City and federal officers, federal employees, and both members and the staffs serving individual members or the entire congress; they did interrupt the confirmation of the state's elected members to the Electoral College, (the EC), for the purpose of intervening with the EC's determination of USA's president, which effectively was a seditious attempt to steal the presidential election". respectfully, Supposn

You should ask the guy who I was responding to. He was the one who suggested Trump could use the national guard to help steal the election.

Can you explain how exactly they could actually steal the election? Sure they could delay the confirmation temporarily, which is what happened. But that's all they could do. All this talk of insurrection and overturning the election is just absolute nonsense.

If they succeed in delaying that confirmation for example 6 months - 1 year ?
Trump is a specialist of delaying courts …

So in your little fantasy world, if the election results don't get certified, timely or ever, who do you think fills the void until it gets sorted out?

Sure
Trump says the democratic process wasn’t allowed to occur so no new president has been picked and he will stay in office until he can sort this mess out
Trump stays in office past Jan 15, and there ya go. Game over.

no the attempt was to certify Trump as the actual president under the idea that congress could over ride state results, starting from the Senate vice president
Ok, this is getting silly. Let's back up the truck a little bit here.
We are talking about the people who invaded the capitol staging a so called "insurrection" not Trump. Trump wasn't there. Those capitol invaders could only delay the certification until such time as they were cleared from the building and order was restored. That's all they were capable of. Therefore it wasn't an insurrection and could never have been an insurrection. An actual insurrection would involve armed forces taking over the government.
So, call it an attempt to delay the certification if you like, but it was never an insurrection or even an attempted insurrection.
