MGM Springfield (Springfield, MA)
It opened up today. Poker room is beautiful. More to come!
I've been hearing the 2/5 game at MGM Springfield is very tight and reggy, is that true? And for anyone that has played 2/5 at Mohegan Sun, how does the action compare?

Not tight and reggy, just reggy. Way better action than mid-week mohegan. The problem with 2/5 at MGM is the player pool is small and you seldom get more than one table.

Agree. There’s also a sh** reg who habitually locks up a seat and plays for 20min at a time then walks for 30min while there’s a full list. Everyone knows the one specific player I’m referring to.
It’s still way better than Mohegan 2/5 with the seat changing, backpack and wrap around headphone wearing regs who change tables every hour to follow the fish.
Forget both places, go to Ballys Twin River if you want good action.
$1-2 and $2-5 daily, multiple games. $10-20 NL on Tuesday, $5-10 PLO on Monday, $5-10 NL all other days.
this is the MGM thread, but the negatives are TR is 10 handed, higher rake, bad comps and a lot of people that I don't want seeing me leave with money
Agree with everything said in the previous post, though an argument can certainly be made that Springfield, MA is much sketchier than Lincoln, RI.
I’d buy it for $3.49
They should try moving it to another premier location in MA like Brockton or Fall River.
Nah move it closer to NY like west Stockbridge, Lenox or Lee IMO
Move an entire building? That's not how this works guys
that's pretty surprising, of the regional casinos I've been too recently, Springfield is the biggest, most packed one I've been to by quite a large margin
they benefit immensely from no nearby competition and being right next to a heavily populated area of Connecticut (over 90% of the people there are from CT)
PLO games haven’t run in awhile, I’m gonna try starting lists fri/saturdays
I've never heard more people complain about winning a high hand than everyone who's pulled $300 or $500 so far this month in the Mystery High Hand promo. It's free money, and tax-free at those amounts!
Does MGM Springfield have a mobile waitlist? Bravo / Poker Atlas aren’t showing anything. I know it used to be Bravo so I’m wondering if they switched to something else.

MGM Springfield is right there on Bravo. So they definitely have not switched. Not sure why you don’t see them right there.
MGM-S is on Bravo. This is true for every MGM room I know of. None now or ever have turned on the online wait list feature AFAIK.
No room I know of is on both Bravo and PA. I don’t believe such is possible. However, PA does post static data on non-PA sites. PA does have this static data on MGM-S.
TLDR…nothing has changed. They are on Bravo. They dont and never had online waitlist. PA has same static data as always. Nothing has switched.
MGM Springfield takes call-ins, would recommend, they're very accommodating ime

You know what, it was greyed out because when I was looking the room was closed. Didn't realize it wasn't 24 hours.
Has anyone here played the new 5-0 PLO game yet? It seems this is replacing 2/2 with the same buy in structure (300-1000). I was a regular in the 2/2 and straddle to 5 was almost always on. I’m concerned this 5-0 game is gonna be constant straddles to 10 which will kill the game in no time. Sorry to sound like a nit but that will be so bad for the game and will price out most of the field that would formally play 2/2.

I actually like the sound of that structure and would consider going there when I would normally play at parx or fw.
