New fast food discussion/review thread

OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

I'm in Boise; mine was boneless

I was just in St. Pete, Fl and the Culver's there was advertising the Walleye so I would think it's available at all their locations.

Culver's vanilla concrete w/salted caramel, cheesecake bits and cherry topping was amazing. I searched 'best Culver's concrete' and that combination came back on top so I went with it. Glad I did.

Had a nice sloppy McDonald's daily double plus ketchup mustard and pickles plus large fry $6 out the door.

They were heavy handed with the mayo, chefs kiss

Think it's just as good as a qpc or big Mac one you factor in cost. Love me a mayo salad on a burger.

Luckily weather is better so I got two hours walking with the dog, hopefully that nullifies 1/2 of the fries at least

Wait time is about 1-1.5 hours. The regular price is about $12.

It's an annual tradition!

wonder how many of those ppl if you offered them $9 to stand in the mall for 1.5hrs would do it

seems absolutely bananas to me and I'm not some millionaire.

Bogo wendys biscuits 244$

Biscuits were perfect.

Anyone ever tried Marcos Pizza

Cantina chicken crispy taco and quesadilla were good. But the price point was not kind. $2.99 for the taco and $6.49 for the quesadilla. The salsa verde was also good and not like their prior green sauce.

Looks like a soft taco, burrito, and bowl have also been added to the options. Those weren’t available when I went on Saturday.

It’s standard. Nothing special.

Yeah, I like it better than the other chains. Sausage actually has some flavor, cheese seems a little better. But as tarheels said, it's nothing special--just a small step above Papa John's/Pizza Hut/Blackjack/etc.

Speaking of chain pizza, Dominos has their 50% off menu price when you order online back this week.

Spicy Western has been $3.00 in the Carl's Jr app since last week. They had a 2 for $10 deal when it came out and it's included in the $5 deal they have currently so it must be some kind of mistake. The regular Western is listed at $7.19.

Do you have the Double Take deal at the bottom of the "Features" menu? Two burgers/chicken sandwiches and large drink for $5. It also works great with the offers...

I noticed not all Carl's Jr's offer the Double Take. My Spicy Western is $7.

No, they got rid of that when the Spicy came out. Sucks because I was ordering that with whatever offer I was using to have a full meal. But the $3 Spicy can be used to order more than 1 so I don't need the cheap filler at the moment. Also sucks that BK got rid of their 2 for $6. That was another that didn't count as a deal or offer.

exactly my Marco's opinion too.

I did my fried chicken breast ala carte gambit at Bush's Chicken! twice this weekend. Not bad at all. The ! is theirs btw, it's not really worth getting too excited over imo. Good flava, maybe a little bland since I'm so used to Popeye's but huge pieces and the roll is way better than Church's honey biscuit. Only genuine drawback was the exorbitant $3.50 price.

The 2 for $6 vanished here over a year ago iirc. Surely wish I could get an Angry Whopper though. Or even just a Whopper Jr.

I had the holy Popeye’s trifecta tonight via DoorDash 50% off.

Shrimp Tackle Box (biscuit, 8 pc (got 10 shrimps with half being HUGE! And mashed w cajun gravy)
Flounder Sandwich
Chicken Sandwich

It was ****ing glorious. Only (mild) complaint is I wish the Flounder could’ve been a bit crispier.

Dave's Single and a doublestack with L, T, mayo: $4.16 suck on that, Dave.

Free cantina chicken crispy taco in app until 4/3. No purchase necessary.

I cannot believe I haven't had a Dave's single or double yet. Dave's double is a damn good burger and $2 is insane value, WTH is the matter with me?

Ended up at TB again this weekend. I know I had posted about it, but I was again pleasantly surprised with the large portion size on the $3 nachos. Those things are great.

Grabbed a crispy cantina taco too for I believe $3-ish. I was surprised it had cheese melted to the entire outside of the shell - it wasn't clear from the picture IMO, but looking back at the description that is the intended construction. Meh - I actually like the grilled cheese burrito that does the same thing pretty well, but it didn't work as well in taco form for whatever reason. Very greasy obviously, and flavors weren't incredible or anything. Did have nice crispiness if you're looking for that. For me though I'd rather have one of the $3 burritos by a solid margin.

Holy hell this sounds delicious. Well done!

Thanks it was epic. I think Popeye's is making sure they don't overcook the fish so I understand why it isnt very crispy. (I've had it 2 times so far from 2 different locations, one time when they made it fresh and I had to wait literally 5 minutes for it lol)

Hit the Bell for their new crispy cantina chicken taco. Does not disappoint! Also got a bean n cheese burrito sin cebolla and a cheesy roll up. Also shown the new Avocado Verde salsa (pretty good). Regular hot packet for ref. Add a Lg Baja Blast Dew (gross, will never order again) for about $10 (it was the soda!)

Mcds always has bogo breakfast sammiches in the offers.

Tried steak egg and cheese Mcmuffin for first time. I need to get a pic next time but it really hit the spot.

Hard not to hit Wendy's multiple times in the next 2 wks

I had my 3rd Wendy's $2 double of the week. I may be starting to get tired of cheeseburgers.

did you calibrate expectations appropriately while doordashing a fried product?
guessing the fresh restaurant experience is different from steaming in a waxed bag for ten minutes
