That sounds like momentum dollars,..

Do we know what tier status is ?

by PokerEthics k

I played the Monday and they had 7-8 alternates before they decided to add a 7th table to the tournament. They clearly didn’t want to “waste” a dealer on the mtt.

So you pay the extra $5 for the dealers (for extra chips) and then they understaff their dealers.

Even in an empty room with dealers they were still hesitant to add another table/dealer.

AND they make you play 10 handed. All so they can keep the 1/2 games opening. It’s such BS.

We’re paying a big rake and can’t even get treated as equals. No cash games are 10 handed. It’s not like there are 500 entrants and they’re trying to accommodate as many as possible. It’s a freakin standard weekend daily with 150-175 entrants.

How bout this…make 1/2 games 10-handed. Why are we treated like such crap as tourney players here?

Status and Momentum are the same, but the Dollars get tier multipliers.

So does the $350 have a dinner break now that it's every Saturday? Hopefully not....

Yes. Why would you hope not? Idk how you can navigate a FT at 9-10pm or whatever without eating dinner 🧐. I get way too cranky.

I eat throughout the day (bananas, granola bar, etc..). I prefer not having to play until 10pm, personally. The last two Saturday tournaments I played before they switched to the $350 ended around 8pm which was nice

Understand. Guarantee you are in the minority on this. Dinner break is a must for an all day tourney with 10min breaks.

I know, the longer levels definitely add up over time. Maybe 30min break would be better? I feel like a long break interrupts my mental flow state. At that point in the tournament it’s starting to get more serious.

No way to please everyone with something like this. At least now I know instead of showing up surprised

So how many entries did Saturday get? I'll be playing this weekend

114 ish in $350

Mohegan submits their tourney series results to GPI and hendon I wonder why they don't submit their daily results I'm assuming it isn't a heavy lift. Foxwoods and encore do it and they seem more anti poker than mohegan

Interesting. It looks like a pretty big drop off each week and I fully expected that. The $160 price point was ideal for most people. Now when you brick it a few times in a row it hurts more. If they were going to increase it they should have done a $225 or something. More than doubling the buy in of their biggest weekly event wasn't a good move imo.

there's also the multi flight 600 next week that some of those people might be waiting on

The reason its a good move is that it will attract players who would like to play in Foxwoods $400 Sunday Tourney but don't because its the only decent sized tournament that weekend.

It also opens up more cash game tables while getting roughly the same tourney rake.

Only got about 75 entrants this weekend. They got me good. KK < T9 for 150bb pot pre-flop lol

Foxwood's Sunday only got under 100 players too. I wasn't too feeling good about the spring fling turnout until I saw almost 190 players for flight A today. It should get 1k buyins at this rate unless they mess up late reg & alts again like they did for the Xmas holiday tourney.

it's the same re-entry system so I would expect people to get shut out on thursday

Anyone know if the 8/16 mix games like O.E/Horse/etc. still run during the weekdays?

Which hotel at Mohegan is closer to the poker room?

Earth

I’m amazed at how much hype/chatter surrounds the Mohegan room. It gets NL 1/2, a few games of 2/5, and maybe a 5/10.
