That is a good question chillrob. The answer is that those on the far right invent their own pseudo science to discriminate against groups that is harder to debunk than you may realize. The entire history of discrimination rests on pseudoscience.

I've always thought the whole thing was silly, because I don't believe it matters whether or not one race is more intelligent than others, or better at certain things than others. Even if it were somehow scientifcally proven that black people were, on average, less intelligent than white people, that would not be a good reason for restricting their rights based on race, as there is clearly huge variations in intelligence in every race, with large overlap (ie, some black people are definitely more intelligent than some white people).

Man the issue is, are worse outcomed for the whole group caused by racism or not? That's the topic.
If there is even a small lower intelligence not caused by racism in a group, then average outcomes income wise will be worse for that group even at 0 racism.
The whole topic is about "why are some groups having worse outcomes, because society is bad, or because they can't do better", that's the topic.
There is no request to restrict any right by race, just the admission some groups fare worse because their talents aren't the same as other groups and in the current arrangement of society, some group talents are less useful

I think it's impossible to prove what causes worse (or better) outcomes for certain groups, but IMO that is more based on cultural differences than on genetics or racism.

African-americans (actually african recent origins, not descendent of slaves) have betetr outcomes than blacks whose ancestors have lived in the USA for centuries.

You can't fully rule it out. It's possible Africans are treated better-- we've already established that they are nicer.
