2024 March Madness Bracket Pools
I'm back again to run the pool this year. I will escrow the money for the pools and am collecting zero fees for doing so
yeah you gotta factor into those public polls that >90% of the brackets submitted are put up by people who spent less than 5 minutes on it, have not watched a single game of regular season basketball, and asked their colleague in the cubicle next to them who will win and they said their brother in law talks a lot about uconn being so good

Well, I might be in 104th place in the $75, but I still think I have a victory scenario!
I have UNC as my champion… there are only three other UNC backers ahead of me. All three have Tennessee in the F4 or title game… I have Creighton in the F4.
So this Creighton/Tennessee matchup is HUGE for me! Too bad I won’t even be able to watch it Friday night, gotta work.
…And, obviously, I need UNC to title. But I already knew going in that any victory scenario for me required that.
All 1’s and 2’s in the Sweet 16?!? I was told there’d be MADNESS.
Scenario Generator is almost useless at this point. With so many top seeds still live, every game will involve a lot of brackets picking up points.
The good:
I have the most potential points in the $75
The bad:
I have Creighton vs Alabama in the final
So long as you're still "live" that's all that matters. Obviously having more paths is better.
I guess what I'm saying is that this year a lot more of the field is still in it.
There are just so few games left that are zero consequence games in the sense that someone will be getting points on every outcome.
Last year by the time we got to the E8 (FAU vs Kansas St, SDSU vs Creighton) there are a few people with KSU or Creighton that can gain points, but largely it's going to be a zero.
This year unless we get a surprise win from SDSU, Clemson, or NCST, it's very likely that a lot of the field will be gaining points on every result.
Houston/Dook and Illinois/ISU are 2 games with a lot of divergence in the pools
Just took Illinois +2500 for a small wager to win it all. No expert but they seem like they could be 'that team' this year.

Nah, it's still helpful. I wanted to see if my Kentucky winning bracket could somehow win, and it is possible. But yeah, we are finding out after Friday where we actually are.
Agreed. It's useful to know which of my brackets are live and identify those that are most similar. Obviously everything much clearer by Friday night.
