LVL moderation thread
I think we probably need one of these now. This thread will be strictly moderated. Instead of making threads like WHERE DID THIS GUY'S THREAD GO NAZI MODS OMG post here if you have questions and/or don't hesitate to PM me or post here in regards to a thread you think that needs actions in it.

Starting today, I will be part of the mod team for LVL. I've been quite active in LVL lately, so I decided to reach out to the new owners last week and offer my services. They were happy to have me, especially with the upcoming WSOP and the expected increase in activity on the forum. So here I am. 😀
Now, LVL is a cool place, but it could be better. I've had a few ideas for a while now, which I have been discussing with Marknfw over the past few days. We came up with a couple of changes. These should improve the forum experience for all users.
1. No More Trip Reports
Trip reports have been part of LVL for a long time. However, this phenomenon has completely gotten out of hand. They cause so much clutter that all the practical (and most valuable) information about Las Vegas is almost impossible to find nowadays. A ban on TRs should solve this problem.
We're going to start locking existing trip reports from 2023 and 2024 shortly. Don't start a new TR. It will be deleted, and you will receive an infraction. Multiple infractions will result in a ban from 2+2.
2. AI Replies
The potential of Artificial Intelligence cannot be overstated. This forum could - and will - benefit a lot from AI. For starters, I'm going to create a bot account that will answer all questions in the existing LVL FAQ sticky. It will also automatically delete every new post in that thread that doesn't contain a question. This is because we are certain that its replies (sourced from ChatGPT) are much more helpful and accurate than the reply of the average human Vegas veteran. Expect this to be rolled out in other threads at some point as well.
I realize these are big changes, so it might take some time to get used to them. But we are convinced that they will make LVL a better place for everyone.
Where would the TRs go then? They're the whole reason I come to this forum.

Exactly. TR's are the core of LVL. They are the major source of info. How many times has someone seen something in a TR and say "I didn't know that"? Like the revelation of the upstairs Venetian food court. I've been going to the Venetian since it opened and I learned something new.

I get that some people don't like them, that's fair. But unless you're living under a rock you know what day is today so the outrage is pretty weird.
My first thought was that Sheep86 didn't even put in the effort to have his name added to the mod list in this forum. Looks like he didn't even have to.

I get that dumbass teenagers will do stupid things, but there’s nothing funny about school safety, in the world we’re living in.
The news said they’re charging him with a felony…. Lots of irate parents and school administrators.
