2024 WSOP!
The World Series of Poker has wrapped up its newest winter series and is announcing new details for the 2024 summer even
Thank you both. Yea 30-45 minutes is a hike for sure. Sounds like Harrahs or Linq might be best option.
If you have access to internet I believe you can register through the bravo website, doesnβt need to be technically be through the app if you donβt have a smartphone. Someone can correct me if Iβm wrong.
Maybe if you have a laptop or something. But yes with no smart phone that is another issue.
If paying for an event with a credit card, does it have to be in person at the cage? Are other methods allowed? Such as kiosks and Bravo.
Can use credit card on Bravo and on kiosks. Have to check in in person one time to verify, but can pre-register using it before arrival. After that, can use on Bravo/kiosks instantaneously.
This will be my 4th Wsop. Coming in for 6-19 to 6-29. Excited to play the millionaire maker for the first time. Firing 1 or 2 bullets. Why anyone would stand on line more than once I donβt know. Very simple, wait on line at the Wsop cage once at an off time and load the $ you will need for your Wsop buy ins throughout your trip to your Wsop tbic account. Once you fund your
The more people that don't know to do this......the better for you and me. π Pro tip-fund your tbic at 2am......zero line
How's the walk from Horseshoe to Wynn? I am planning on spending 100% of my time playing at either wsop or wynn, probably 50/50 between the two. Can't decide if I want to stay somewhere in between the two (Harrahs etc) or have full convenience of staying at one of the locations (horseshoe) but then having a longer walk to the other.
There's got to be a shuttle or bus that runs along the strip such that you wouldn't have to hike the whole way. It could be damned hot though, walking or waiting for transportation in June or July for the WSOP. How about the monorail? Is that an option? I researched this topic last year. I might have to do so again if I contemplate playing any tournaments outside the WSOP.
I used to walk from Bally's to V a lot years ago, I can't remember exactly but I would say about 15 minutes and I walk a good pace darting around slow people. Then from V to Wynn is all indoor to the bridge and you are there, probably another 8 to 10 minutes. But that was just inside the door not poker room, now the poker room is much farther.
Probably be better off taking an Uber. lol

I’ve taken the monorail quite a bit. I stay at the Sahara often, and it’s the best way to get down to the south end of the strip in the heat. But it’s not a time saver.
The Ballys/Paris stop is a convenient location, but the time to get to and from the drop point is not going to save you any time. Also, the waiting around at the platform is going to kill your angle.
Get your steps in, Bob and weave through the casinos.
Damn they end the promotion May 31'st. That's a bummer for us coming out to the WSOP after that.

Hey bucketorocks , I use to be a big fan of Sahara Daily Poker Tournaments (I think it used to be $85 or something). Do they still run it ? It used to get 100-150 runners every day.

You mean way back in the day? The $65 big sandwich tournament? lol
You can view all their tournaments and cash games and live info on the Poker Atlas app. It looks pretty dead the times I look on the app, but I have not looked at the tournaments to see how many runners.
I don't even think they got a 1/3nl game going yesterday, unless it was late, and there is a big V tournament series going with lots of tables at all the other rooms, but not Sahara or even Resorts World.
What the Heck ? Is this an April fools Joke?https://www.poker.org/wsop-bans-chip-rif...

Wow someone (Young or Old) has great memories!!
Yes $65 big sandwich (:
Funny story . I never played poker in my life before 2006. By Strock of Luck I won free entry in to WSOP ME through “BLUFF “ magazine.
Someone suggested that in order to get feel of Casino poker tournaments ( my knowledge was only limited to reading books!! ) ,I should play at Sahara . I played 3-4 tournaments there before 2006 ME . On the 3rd try I won $65 tournament !!!!
I saw that headline yesterday and assumed it was an April fools joke. Is it real?
Yea, after the 1st break and getting to eat part of the big sandwich the structure would turn to crap and most times you would just have paid $65 for a sandwich. lol

Their website says they do, but Iβve never actually seen one running.
At most they may have a single cash table going.
I can probably get you front row Magic Mike tickets, if youβre into that sort of thing 😆

Yes, that's an April Fools prank and a darned good one.
Maybe one day I'll master the art of riffling chips myself.
