  • Some of them didn't bet their entire million - illiteracy FTL
  • If you bet 1/3 - 1/3 - 1/3 every round, just because you have no clue, your EV is $152.42 after 8 rounds. So y'all should try to beat that.

so it looks like we don't profit on any wagers, we just survive?

Womp womp

I knew none of those were the things on the hardness scale so had to hedge.

Decided Zirconia was wrong because it's fake, cheap diamond and doubt it would have extreme hardness.

50/50 on the others.

If it makes you feel better Nich I also didn't get an answer in but only have myself to blame. I did see the PM, it clearly said 24 hours for answer and after telling myself I'd do it later that day stuff came up and I forgot to submit.

So sure, probably woulda been better to start on other day or 48 hours for round 1 since it was a holiday but Gabe is running it well and doing exactly what he said he would so there's nothing for us to be surprised about.

I love multiple choice.

Nice. I looked that up afterwards and thought I got it wrong lol.

I would have YOLO'd the first correctly, and I knew the second. Arg. Not complaining, it's my fault; just frustrating.

I thought the opposite for that reason, it's man made therefore will be of purer quality and stronger as a result

ruby felt the least hard, I mean who thinks of dorothy as hard?

That was a good question, since Emerald would trip you up if you didn't remember it's Ruby and Sapphire, not Emerald, that are made of Corundum.

Zirconia is actually harder than Emerald.
I knew the answer to this question. Ruby is used a lot for the moving parts in the watch industry

I had no clue about Q1

you make watches? will you send the winner one?

With Q1 I thought it would be straight down the line as these things tend to start easy and get harder.

I just thought smaller country, smaller economy, weaker currency. There's no tax haven rules or oil reserves to make it an exception to this.

That's interesting.
Ruby slippers and Emerald City.
No zirconia in Wizard of Oz.

The only question I have ready is the next one.

I try to avoid questions that you either know or don't know. I try to find questions that, even if you don't know the answer, you might know *something* that allows you to POE one of the answers
Also it need to be questions that somebody knows, not nobody or everybody.

watch prize wen?

by rickroll k

watch prize wen?

You send gabe 1 million dollars as entry. You get back whatever game money you have left and a watch as a prize for getting to the end.

I can do this

Question 3

George Michael, Michael Jackson and Prince all celebrated their 50th birthday, but none of them made it to 60, unfortunately.
Which of the following is true?

  • George Michael died youngest, Michael Jackson died oldest
  • Micheal Jackson died youngest, Prince died oldest
  • Prince died youngest, George Michael died oldest

MJ =50, George M = 53, Prince=58.
Correct answer was B.

6 played shipped it in! Two went broke. GG.

Next question will go out promptly.

I had no clue on that one so the safe outcome was to lose 2/3

I had no clue on that one so the safe outcome was to lose 2/3

Yup. Did same.

Would have been wrong if forced to pick one.

i was going by how tragic each death was and figured prince must have been the youngest but I guess it was more to do with being so unexpected with him whereas nobody would have really batted an eye if George Michael or Michael Jackson died at 29

In a couple of years I'll beat Prince

I had no idea of the order of Prince and George Michael, but knew that Michael Jackson was 50 when he died because my wife was 50 when he died.

I knew MJ was 50 when he died and then that left only 1 option possible.

I also knew Michael Jackson was 50 when he died was just hoping the others weren't 50 as well lol
