How often to 55 year old loose-passive self-proclaimed donkeys x/r bluff rivers?

Once ever 54 years I’d guess. I mean sure it’s unlikely but if my hand is looking pretty weak and I’m an unknown and he doesn’t care about the stupid $20 buy in and thinks he’ll look cool in front of his friends if he does it then there’s a decent chance probably. Idk. No history w the guy really just a guessing game.

What were the blinds? Why bet less than 1/4 pot against a donk?

Yes but you can make an educated guess based on the player type. And this player type is highly, highly unlikely to make a move like that on the river.

How does this type of player tend to deviate from equilibrium? They play too many hands, and they call too often preflop. So how do you take advantage of those deviations? By (1) sticking to linear ranges preflop; (2) value betting lighter; and (3) using larger bets.

QQ on K high flop when guy limp called 10BB isn’t what I’d call exactly a slam dunk pot size value bet IMO

Are we supposed to just pre judge how people play based on their age even if we have only 4 minutes of info of watching them play…mostly folding but limped maybe once so far this session. I knew this much about the guy going into the hand, he’s head honcho at this particular social club which makes him a sharp in real life which I would assume means he at least a decent brain and capable of thinking and being smart and respected by his peers in general.

This gives a lot of info. You are in a tiny stakes game with people are just trying to have fun and make hands and win pots. I highly highly doubt that you are going to see a c/r bluff on the river esp 10 mins into the game.

I would have bet the turn and checked back on the river personally. I think more worse hands call on the turn with a pair or weak draw. But as played, betting and folding to raise seems good too.

So it's early in the tournament.

Rather than make a tiny bet OTF, why not check it back and let him be more likely to x/c or lead out OTT with a range of hands that you can be confident contain more hands your QQ beats.

As played, same idea as above. Check behind and let him bet (or call with) the range that you dominate OTR.

Then why include any information about him in your post?

You have two choices: You either treat him as an unknown and take a balanced approach, or you make some assumptions based on what you do know and deviate accordingly.
