Comedian and poker commentator Norm Macdonald has died
Great day to celebrate the genius of Norm and watch any and all of his takedowns of OJ. Sorry Ken Griffey, you still suck.
Apparently in the 90s he was forced to sit at a table with Lorne Michaels and Harvey Weinstein after a SNL taping. They are raving about some new comedian, calling him a visionary and a genius. Weinstein keeps calling him a genius over and over and then asks Norm what he thinks about him.
Norm replies: "is he really good at math or something?"
They were talking about Matthew Perry, by the way.

It was great to see Norm getting widespread recognition today. All those old videos..it had been awhile. On Reddit, one of the top comments in a post about OJ's death was "Cancer claims innocence and won't rest until OJ's real killer is found" and it reminded me of Norm's humor.

Norm Macdonald wasn't funny. That was his only joke.
The day OJ died a couple of players were talking about it and someone else spoke up and said "OK. So cancer went from being 100% bad to 99.9% bad."
I immediately thought of Norm.
That is literally the dumbest thing I have read today (and I have read a bunch of crazy conspiracies from nutty Trump supporters today so you cleared a really high bar).
Norm had a great joke for every situation.
There are very few humans who have ever walked the planet who were funnier than him.
I have often said that if Norm had to die, I wish it was by random gunfire or something like that where he knew he only had minutes to live. I am quite sure he would have found comedic gold I only having a few minutes to live.

Since he was a poker player, Norm was a friend to several of the people posting and reading this thread, none of whom appreciate your comment. And in case you're too ignorant to be aware, putting down somebody in a thread like this doesn't make you edgy or cool. If just makes you look like a f***ing ****. I guarantee you that nobody thinks better of you for posting this comment.

Greg, the poker forum certainly appreciated your eyeball glasses.
Wearing those glasses establish your credibility in recognizing comedic gold. an ability far beyond the ability of most CPAs.
(That Norm was memorably funny was why I went to the OJ compilation as soon as I learned early this morning it was posted on YouTube)
Norm McDonald is one of the most overrated comedians of all time. Hacky comedy for low vibration dweebs.
This is getting embarrassing. Norm had a massively successful career as a comedian and was revered by his peers. Maybe he wasn't your cup of tea but to say he wasn't funny or was overrated just makes you look like a dim-witted ignoramus lacking the ability to see beyond your own personal preferences.
You don't have to like all kinds of jazz but don't say Miles Davis sucked as a trumpet player and expect to be taken seriously.
I played with Norm back in 2003 in the Mirage 20-40 limit hold 'em game. He was mostly quiet while playing and beat me in our one serious hand against each other.
Norm was good friends with 2+2 poster "Gabe" and the two of them would make poker road trips to Vegas back then.
Norm is a top ten all-time comedian. You Tube is loaded with great material from him.
The moth joke is a good example of his unique style.
