The NHL Thread
For the 5 of us who post NHL stuff, here you go. Officially the season starts Tuesday October 11, although there were tw
yeah sometimes coming in hot is meaningful, certainly better than nothing, like with the caps:
It leaps out at you in bright red on the NHL's own standings page: minus-37. That's the Washington Capitals' goal differential on the year. Only the lowly Canadiens, Blue Jackets, Ducks, Blackhawks, and Sharks have worse, and it's not like this is an early-season trend the team has turned around. In their last 25 games, they've been outscored 69-78. In their last 10, it's 21-27 [...] Nobody but basement-dwellers Chicago and San Jose lost by three-plus goals more often than the Caps did.
who just flat-out suck. like seriously, how did this happen?
anyway that doesn't matter now, regular season in the past and we're all back at 0. i am curious where they rank among the all-time woat playoff teams tho ... and obv it'd be hilarious if they beat the rag$
I said this to my friends, all die hard leafers, on Thursday when they started getting real excited about Matthews hitting 70.
It would be cool to see him do it, but we all know when leafs fans get their hopes up they get utterly crushed. On a positive note, this is probably why they'll actually do well in playoffs this year because there is no belief.
My new theory is if he hits 70, they lose first round. If he sticks at 69 they'll win 2+ series.

Hehe.
They actually might surprise, not as much of feeling of we don't want to play in May/June as want to go to cottage but that could still be there. Boston will have to have injuries or fighting with each other or something for the Leafs to win, if that miracle happens I don't see them going past 2nd round again.

Exactly why they might do well lol. Leafs fans have no hope.

I think I set it up correct. If not, it's public.
The real question is who is ScottC cheering for? LOL
Leafs/Boston Saturday night 7:30 p.m. EST, be here or be nowhere. :P
This is why they will not get far if anyone watching this atrocity.
Matthews hits the post!🤐
Only one last position to clarify now.
