Here 'tis.

It's not a fancy shirt; it's just not years old and frayed. It's funny, there's a good BBC documentary on Savile Row, which only exists on youtube in little bits, and which searching for has caused me recently to watch a few videos on bespoke tailoring. (Bespoke - it speaks for you.)
If I were younger, I might go for a custom made Saville Row suit, but I rarely need to wear a suit these days. I stick to fairly nice sports jackets that I will wear with jeans.

Hey, I live in t-shirts and hoodies, but I'm talking about finding a cotton shirt that's actually likeable. First of all, it has to be not a button-down collar, which immediately rules out about 80% of them; second it has to be not so long as to not look stupid worn, as it should be, not tucked in to jeans; third it has not to have some ridiculous colour or pattern on it; and fourth it has to fit.
Rose's lime cordial takes me back. Haven't had it or probably even seen it for decades; when, I think, it came in an actual glass bottle. Going to have to look out for it.
I have a Penhaligons cologne named Sartorial that is supposed to mimic the smell of a Saville Row tailor shop.
Because what else would you like to smell like?

It's Savile Row, John Cole. One L.
What mrb wrote. 100% dressing for comfort, unless there's a compelling reason.
Went in to buy coffee this morning, and the woman in front of me had her hair split neatly down the middle, half gray, half black. She looked like a schizophrenic Susan Sontag.

Old people talking about a common childhood is all sketches of an elephant.
People tell me I look well. I am well, it's the world that's sick.
today, one of my students compared me to his great-grandpa. I buried him in a shallow grave.

Yesterday I read a poem by Langston Hughes in class, and one woman said I sounded just like an old Black lady. It was a compliment. I think.
I had students doing poetry presentations yesterday. Students who say they hate poetry always seem to find a poem that speaks to them emotionally.

The first time I met my wife's family, on Easter, including my late father- and mother-in-law, I fell asleep after a couple hours because I had been in an all night poker game. Their reaction was basically "a real winner you got there, Mary."
A couple weeks late, but we are meeting for our traditional Easter gathering today, nearly forty years later. I still tend to take a quick nap after dinner.
You can always overcome a bad first impression.

Alcohol usually helps.
We need some new wars. All the usual ones are getting very boring. Like reruns of bad TV shows.
Cuba invading Australia would be fun. The Irish bombing Germany could set Europe on fire and improve the sale of alcohol. Let’s make life interesting again!
Just one of those nights. Passover dinner at my friend's house. Everyone had gone but the host and the woman who drove. Had been feeling off all day, but not terrible.
Well, soon after dinner ended, I had a seizure. Ambulance comes, takes me to Newport Hospital, got checked out and sent home. By that time my daughter had arrived, so she took me home. Walking into the house I had another seizure. Ambulance shows up again for a trip back to the hospital.
This happened Monday night into early Tuesday morning. Apparently I was out of it most of the day yesterday.
Now back to normal and going home tomorrow.

any feedback on the cause John?
get the rest you need and come back firing
I have had seizures for 30 years now, and nobody really knows the cause. This seems to hit me every three or four years. It's not terrible except the not driving part.

and here i was thinking you just didn't know how to post youtube videos or change your phone signature
explains a lot
If I remember correctly, this was right after you went 3 days without listening to Johnny Rivers. Coincidence? I think not.
I agree with Red. Get lots of rest and come back firing.
Jesus, John...so sorry. Glad you have family to help you out. Sorry about the driving part, I know that sucks.
Hope you get to feeling better, John. As others wrote, rest up.
Take care John! No driving has to suck but at least we are in the age of Uber/Lyft. Maybe someday even robotaxi's? I'll believe that when I see it 😀 But in this day and age getting along without driving is doable. Just try to stay safe and healthy.
