Penix o/u draft position is 32.5 iirc
If you like Penix you trade back from 3 and then trade into 27-32 to get him
But Penix was a 6th yr senior who really only excelled when he was way older and more experienced than his competition and he was surrounded by 1st rounders.
Red flags abound
The best qb that merits at least a who says no discussion for 1 I think is burrow
Other than that every qb listed is on a team that snap rejects the notion except love who snap calls
So you have Joe below all those QBs except Love as an asset?
I would definitely have him ahead of Lamar as well.
Im partial to a freak like Josh, a giant barreling down the field or throwing 30 yard darts....if he would stop being a dummy, but I wouldn't argue with you SRM. Burrow is the best if not, then he is in discussion imo.
FWIW, SRM was saying that Burrow is the best who warrants a debate. Josh is in the group with Mahomes, Lamar and Herbert that is a clear "no" to the question. Strouds also a clear no because he has 4 years on his rookie deal left
Personally I wouldn't trade Burrow for the first.
To put it kindly I’ve been on record all of last year that Caleb is far from a can’t miss
To trade for him for a top qb you have to be unsure the guy you’re paying hilarious money to or about to pay hilarious money to can’t win in a vacuum of talent. Much as I buffalolololol I tend to think Jawsh makes this team competitive by sheer existence
I don’t think burrow is bad by any means but I don’t think he’s shown enough that reshuffling the deck especially considering the massive cap numbers surrounding him isn’t a bad idea
I think love sucks (edit: ok that’s harsh, I might just be bitter)

Stroud also had a Mt Rushmore ‘best rookie QB season’

Basically this
Unless stroud falls off the face of the earth he and mahomes are 1a and 1b as the by far most valuable assets in football
I watched Kermit rip my ****ing heart out using an offense of pure bullshit and Señor Swiftie. He is, without question, the greatest qb I have ever seen and I have a hard time believing I’ll see better. I question whether there exists a trade package that gets him in his prime or a dollar amount the chefs could pay him that he wouldn’t be worth
Definitely. But if he had a $60mil cap hit you'd probably like to have more than one year of data.

What about the Jets offering Rodgers + 2 first round picks? I know someone who would claim that's a steal for KC.

He’s also torn his right ACL twice. Broke his clavicle on his non-throwing shoulder. Had an A/C joint separation on his throwing shoulder.
He’s also the least accurate of the top 6 downfield.
I posted about the QBs in the draft thread, but Nix and Penix aren’t first round QBs, imo.

The raiders are the team that forces this to be a question. How desperate they are is really gonna be the story
I realize this is an unpopular opinion around here, but I don’t get why everyone takes it as a given that Herbert is an unquestioned top ~6 QB in the NFL.
He’s 30-32.
When he HAD Allen and Williams.

QB desperate teams, and especially poorly run orgs like da Raiders, reach on QBs all the time. So it’s certainly in the cards.
But they’d be better off riding Minshew or AOC and just trying again next year. Tough sell for a first year coach hired from an interim position, though.
Apologies in order gents. Someone may have been trash talking Bronco land. Today I learn they give two picks for milfhunter. As someone who isn't opposed to this.... please forgive me if I was invovled..

Denver traded a 6th rounder and received Wilson and a 7th rounder. The Jets are paying for a part of Wilsons salary. I think it will cost the Broncos 2.7 million this year. If they draft a QB they can release Stidham and save about 2 million.
Denver milfs...Let's Ride!
this last few posts made me realise I had no ****ing idea where Jimmy G was signed.
I just checked and I now know...but how many people knew?
Also, he's on a 1yr $3.1m deal which....shows what the League now thinks of him
He's also suspended for the first 2 games for PEDs lol. Those looks are not all natural.
someone paid jimmy g again? like, real dollars?
falcons guaranteeing $90m for two years of cousins was sneaky bad. anybody's better than ridder and gives them a chance to win their **** division, but kirk is 36, coming off a torn achilles, allergic to primetime/clutchness, and king of checking it down or sailing it oob on the final play of a game he's trailing to pad his stats. theyre also going to lose at least a 1st for tampering.

When he HAD Allen and Williams.
Of those 62 games, Keenan and Mike were both on the field for only 36 of them.
Also, Brandon Staley.
Also, bad defense. In the 32 games lost, the average losing score was 21-30. In the 30 games won, the average winning score was 26-18.

herbert has too much athletic ability to root against watching what it can do

Are you throwing bait at me?
~3 years of Godgers vs ~15 years of mahomes is closer than you think because KC likely projects those 2 first rounders to be top 10 picks. KC then offers MIA both firsts for tyreek and then Godgers, tyreek and kelce are guaranteed 3 super bowls over the next 3 years. At least for the next 2 years you can save a lot of money on the cap because there are likely some vets who would come play for league min. to win 3 SBs.

You could put Mahomes on the Panthers or Patriots and wouldn't expect one of those first rounders to be top 10.
If you put Mahomes on the Jets right now, odds for next season's first rounder to be #29+ would be higher than for the pick being top 20.
Lol at that post.
This is Rodgers last year and he's going to be average at best. He isn't winning **** no matter what team he is on.
i'm always surprised no top QB ever wants to test free agency. i know there is always injury risk to consider for the QB by avoiding extending but what does mahomes get in free agency if he were one this year? close to 100 milion maybe? at what number would he become a liability? i'm snap giving him 80. the gap between what the top QBs and 15th-ish bet QBs get seems way too small to me
Mahomes would be franchised every year til he retires or quits
