Knicks won these 2 games with brunson not looking good at all.. in reg. Season he played much more in control never seen him play erratically except these 2 games. Guys usually the ideal for playing composed. As a new Yorker I'm hype about I UT thought we are without Julius randle and playing this good. Randle took alot of pressure of jb.. just shows how good a team ny is right now.

They became a serious team when they got rid of Barrett and they’re a better team without playoff Randle (the worst postseason player I’ve ever seen). Brunson will get his **** together soon enough and then they’ll run the paper tiger Celtics off the court.

Josh Hart kept them in the game in 1H w 19 pts 9 reb in the first half.
Hartenstein WON them the game in the 2H with all of his 14 pts in the 2H while shooting 7/8 FG with 8 reb 4 asst and 4 !!! blocks (also the KEY block on Maxey's last minute drive to help seal the victory).

Knicks have now won with Brunson shooting 8/26 and 8/29. That's a combined 16/55 for 29% and 1/6 from 3 each game for 2/12 for 16.67%.
In the regular season he shot 47.9% and 40.1% from 3 in 77 games.

The Sixers are making him work harder to get the ball / make him work extra effort to get into his shooting setup. This has been effecting his % and I also think the issue is part mental.. playing in the playoffs vs the Sixers (who are as good as a #2 seed themselves with Embiid playing) and possibly feeling extra pressure playing in the MECCA. I feel he'll probably shoot better in Philly. Even 44% and 33% from 3 would be huge.

Knicks now have even more film on what the Sixers are doing to him and I trust Thibs and Brunson to really study to develop a better way to get him the ball in better/easier spots.

Also that ending gave me Larry Johnson 4 point play vibes from 1999 Playoffs.

The last 3 field goals Denver hit were ridiculous. I suppose you don’t beat another NBA team three straight times without riding some variance. Obviously it’s skill, don’t get me wrong, but Lakers have to live with MPJ’s 3 or Murray taking those falling away mid rangers.

I at once think the Lakers demonstrated all those things we were saying about how the game plan could be better and they could be more locked in, etc; but also it validated that Denver can just get what they need in the end.
