Bucks just don’t have enough on the floor, really the Pacers shouldn’t have lost game 1.

And yeah, the Pacers won't shoot 21% from 3 on 38 attempts often. They shot 37.4% for the year.

Pacers shoot 21% from 3 in Game 1: Lose

Pacers shoot 44% from 3 in Game 2: Win

(Also set a franchise record in assists in Gm.2)

Truly, basketball is an unsolvable mystery.

Good nickname choice SRM! Reek is the most disappointing, underachieving player in nba history and nobody seems to acknowledge it because of his fake Mickey Mouse championships.

Kawhi looks gimpy af. Rockfight so far

As predicted. Pacers aint dead in the water. They got this!

Refs keeping Clips in this. Not that Dallas is playing well.

Mavs got this series!!! Eat **** Clippers!

'foul trouble' has always seemed like the dumbest thing in the world to me.

Anthony Davis is removed from the game in the 3rd quarter because of having 4 fouls. He finishes the game with 5 fouls. So he could have and should have played more, and never should've been removed from the game.

pretty wild that 39yo lebron was the only laker able to move faster than a slow jog in the last 5 minutes. no way they could cover anyone on defense, and their offensive sets were hilarious with three lakers huddling at the top of the key ostensibly setting triangle screens or something but really just gasping for oxygen.

hoping wolves can dominate again tonight but have a feeling kat will be a huge liability covering kd who goes for 40pts on 15 shots

How about 18? Same as Rudy & Conley

Feels like a 7 gamer to me. Kawhi looked like himself for like 6 minutes in the third, then was immediately gassed and sat for15 mins real time, wasn’t in rhythm when he came back. If he’s can’t get it together then the series basically comes down to who makes more stupid bail out step back 3s.

Someone compared Luka to a bigger Harden once, and it’s so true. He’s gotta be one of the most aggravating players to root against. Can’t put Harden on him as much as they did, too easy for him to shoot over him.

Doncic seemed to be better than usual defensively but that might just be variance offensively, more than anything he did himself

% isn't even the best way to measure it, so this chart is understating it!

19/40 is better than 1/2. 0/8 is better than 1/20.

should take each team's shots, impute a league average shooting % on that many shots, then net how many points each team is above or below, and then the delta between the numbers measures "who shot better from 3"

so like 19/40 would be 13.08 points better and 1/2 is 0.8 points better, so team A outshot team B by 12.3 points from three

0/8 is 8.8 points worse than expectation, and 1/20 is 19 points worse than expectation, so team A outshot team B by 10 points from three

Also, there is an embedded bias, where a team that is already winning is probably less likely to force up difficult threes

Making baskets is good, turns out

in q1 gobert made an and-1 but got called for a charge. finch challenged and got it reversed. the tnt announcer (i refuse to learn his name) still maintained after the fact that it was a bad challenge... "too risky this early"

I saw that on reddit and thought that was by far the best case scenario.

2 points+maybe a 3rd+foul taken away from Gobert.

If that happened in the first 10 seconds then I'd still say it was right call.

Great thoughts, nice one!

Feels like Miami should be up by more than 1.

really a shame butler died in the play-in, this couldve been a good series

MIA shooting better than any team has ever shot a basketball ever. Good lord

I think the Nuggets are gonna be out of the playoffs early this year. Their bench stinks. At least last year they had Jeff Green and Bruce Brown. Both of these guy's were capable of putting up 20 points. I like Watson and Braun for their defense but beyond that there is nothing coming off the bench scoring wise. Last year I felt very confident every game the Nuggets would win. They seem a bit fragile this year. This Laker series would be at least tied right now if it wasn't for horrific coaching.

rt not familiar with the game of the hardest working, best conditioned, most professional, unselfish, toughest, meanest, nastiest team in the nba? uh2ci
