Black Sails - New Starz show
I am going to go ahead and make a thread for this. 2 episodes in and I have a really good feeling about it. It basically is a prequel to Treasure Island. The world is much darker than the Disney pirate world but also much more fun. We get a nice mix of sex and violence. Not to the Spartacus level but still fairly graphic.

I've always considered this the GOAT underrated show. I'm 5 episodes in s1 on a re-watch.
Rare to say for any show, but each season is better than the one before.
The combination of characters from Treasure Island with actual historical figures is brilliant and John Silver's character arc is elite writing.
yeah I'm really surprised this show wasn't a big hit
way better than that Johnny Depp crap whatever pirate movies
