I really like Note. Note is a common word for the Title of a property.
And if we're ruling out Pie, then, well. *Can* you purchase an Attic? Heh. Vanilla Ice bought the Beat to Ice Ice Baby by buying Under Pressure.

Pie is the most purchasable thing left (by a lot), but that would completely ignore the clue for 4 and not 3.
And do we think we need another fee word? Marathon was surely one. I do believe that note was as well. Foam was certainly not. Is "window fee" a thing?

I can imagine a window fee being a thing when booking travel. But I can't remember ever hearing that specific phrase.
Our list for fee was Marathon, Bride, Pie, Potter. All are now off the board except pie. And for me Pie -> a la Mode fee.
If Fee was marathon/pie/window, that would track.
Attic - Houses can be bought, but can you buy an attic?
Beat - Vanilla Ice literally bought a beat once, but that's a stretch
Comet - ... is this a model of car?
Halloween - There are expenses involved in Halloween, but you can't buy the holiday
Pie - I can go to the store and buy a pie right now
Second - A purchase can be second after a first.
Storm - Again, model of car?
If it's not pie for the win I don't know anything.
That's a huge risk, though, when it's the most obvious purchasable word.
And if it's not pie, which is it? Beat? Comet or Storm? Thinking about it, there was the Geo Storm model car I know that for sure.
I don't really know, but I just know I hate pie. Yes, it's the most purchasable item, but it goes against the meta of the way this game has been played for over a year now.
Keep in mind also that IBD just clued a 1 with 2 to go. I really don't think he does that if our next in line is correct.
This last one is going to be obtuse. If I have to pick one, I'm going with second. No I don't love it.
Initially I liked attic, but with Window and Foam ours, I think we would have gotten an insulation clue for an easy 3.
I guess Halloween would be a close second? I don't love this car model idea (though they both are car models), and beat seems really meh.
Halloween is my nut low of this list. If it were purchase, yes, one makes Halloween purchases. But purchasable is very clearly describing the word itself, and Halloween is not purchasable.
Attic is not a purchasable element of a house.
I think second would be my second choice behind pie. I get the meta-logic for not going pie, but I think you have to weigh the plain meaning of the clue against it, and pie is so very, very obviously purchasable.
It's a 50/50 for the game.

I'm literally never going to be okay with pie, so if you like that better, we're at an impasse and just going to have to flip a coin for it.
Random thought: Can you buy a comet? I'm not sure they have any legitimacy (probably not), but I know there are those websites where you can buy naming rights to stars or exoplanets.
I know you can buy names of asteroids. Comets... maybe?
It wouldn't surprise me. I'd be okay bolding it. Or second. It's a crapshoot imo.

I'm utterly convinced it's pie. But it's a team effort, so if we can do your first choice and my second choice, that's the way to go.

Nah, let’s just call it now.
It was pie. TBob just didn’t do the n-1 and I couldn’t figure out how to connect honey and attic. Closest I could think was Flowers - 2, but wasn’t sure how a VC Andrews reference would land and there are way too many music/band related connections to Flowers that I couldn’t do that with beat as the assassin.
