5/5 deep. QQ preflop decision

5/5 deep. QQ preflop decision

$1800 effective

BU - aggressive reg.

BB - seems like a tight rec. Calling wide preflop, but plays tight postflop.

Straddle, calls, calls, Hero (QQ) raises to $60 from CO, BU raises to $180, BB calls, straddle and limpers fold. Hero - ???

And a few more questions about this hand:

1) If BU is an OMC, how do you play then?
2) If we 4bet and both call, and the flop is Th, Jh, or lower, what do we do?

As played, I call and see a flop.

If BU is OMC but we still have a caller, I call and see a flop.

I don't 4bet unless I'm willing to gii pre or on most flops w/o an A or K.

What's the button's 3betting range? Does he 3bet a lot pre?

How "wide" does the BB, a tight player, call pre? His call of 180 is wide?

I would probably just let it go here but that's just me. If the tight player didn't cold call and the button does 3bet quite often then I can justify playing the hand.

We're almost 400 bb's deep so we have to decide if queens is really worth it here. If we call a cbet we're already committing it all.

4bet pre

I didn't see exact hands from BU, but I saw a few 3-bets from him. Seems like his range is wider than just AK, TT+.

BB is an old rec player who likes to call preflop with hands like KTo, J8s. But I never really saw a bad play from him on later streets. Seems like an experienced rec player who knows hand strength postflop.

Wtf your folding QQ here , are you trolling?

Straddle is 10, so we are 180bb (straddles) effective, right?

Given the reads on BTN and BB, and how deep we are, this looks like a standard 4bet, to ~500, and fold to a shove.
I might be onboard with a call if BB was not in the hand and BU was an OMC; but oop against an aggressive reg, I still prefer to 4bet, even HU.

I do not see how BB can possibly call a 4bet here, but anyway.
Assuming both call and BB checks flop, I would range bet small, like 1/4 or even 1/5 pot, folding to a shove.

I would 4bet HU and even more so w/ the BB cold call.

The BB who's a tight experienced player just flatted 180 pre, OOP. I rather not call this off (or even worse, 5bet/fold) hoping and praying he has jacks, but that's just me. He can still have kings in his range and even aces hoping the original raiser re-raises (I don't even think most tight OMC/ish type players flat with jacks for 180).

Raise to 500? But that's too small. It's only 320 more for him to call.

Not really.
A typical 4bet size is 2.2x-2.5x, as far as I know. In this spot, being 3way, we may go a bit bigger, but your initial raise was already quite big because of the limpers, so overall I would remain in that ballpark.
