KJo triple barrel bluff

KJo triple barrel bluff

We are about 250 eff 2/2 blinds. Mississippi btn for 10. I have a regtight image on this table.

I am sb w KJo I open to 30. (Not even sure this is an open, but some terrible players with 80+ Vpip).

Flop comes AQ6dd, we have Kd. I cbet as I do with most of my range with 50% pot. This flop smashes my range, I believe this is standard.

Villain calls, turn A with a second flushdraw on board. I barrel for 75. I really regret this barrel. I was trying to use my image but my barrel only targets gssd and Qx which is small portion of villains range compared to all his Ax and Fds.

River comes blank. I ship it in.

What do we think of hero ott and otr and preflop?

Looking back I would c-f turn in hindsight, since we can use our flushdraws to barrel turn instead of GSSD. And we even block villains folding otr range blocking KQ, QJ, JT.

Hero turn barrel range is strictly FDs here I imagine? Since with the 2nd A it limits out value range quite a bit. Which in theory should limit the amount of bluffs we should have.

Would love to hear thoughts.

Fold pre. Check fold turn, as played check fold river.

Position is just too bad. Fold pre

On the turn, the board hits too much of his range to bet.

Fold pre. Check fold flop. Check fold turn.

On river, get up from the table, build a time machine, go back to before you left the house, and tell yourself not to play KJo in the SB with a BTN straddle on. Hope you don't create a rip in the fabric of space-time.

dont bluff when you have $250.

fold pre. flop ok. when he calls flop give up. you block the hands that would fold to your bluff.

What suits do you have?

Would you be able to give me sb ranges for this spot? NGL, I have a hard time believing KJo is -ev, but since many of you say this, I am inclined to believe, but would love some elaboration beyond, pre just fold.

We had Kd, J suit not relevant to the board.

The problem is you're effectively playing 25bb deep with a $250 starting stack and a $10 straddle on. You can't raise 3x from the SB with a hand that doesn't really play all that well post flop.

If you had KJs, a little better, but still pretty marginal. I'd feel better raising TT+, AK, AQs, and KQs. Even then, we need to be careful post flop.

If you were starting 200bb deep, and have the right image, and good reads on your opponents, you can get out of line first to act, and raise a speculative hand like KJo. But even then, those unsuited Broadway gappers are mostly just alluring trash, like a computer printer sitting on someone's curb. You know that $h1t won't work.
