Wynn switched over to PokerAtlas today from bravo, still in the process of getting everything set up.
I am surprised by this move, not sure what the benefits are.
As someone who’s browsed both, I like the user interface of pokeratlas much more than bravo.

The PokerAtlas platform is significantly better and more feature-rich than Bravo. They can even tie in to individual tables for seat openings, though I think that requires some equipment and I’m not sure if Wynn will be implementing it. Fingers crossed for the new Venetian room doing so.
Oh , I just checked my reservation. I am in Paris not in horseshoe !!
I have never stayed in Paris!
Any idea how far will be WSOP Main event room from Bordeaux Tower Paris ?
Any response appreciated .
Thx
Pretty much any location on the ground floor in Paris to any location on the ground floor at HS is a 3-5 minutes walk or less.

I tried using it for Wynn today to get on list but I guess they were still setting up and wasn't working yet.
I used it a few days ago for Resort World and once you get on the list the big time clock covers up everything and you can't navigate the app anymore to view the list with yourself on it and see your position, etc. very annoying. After messing with it for 5 or 10 minutes I got it to show one time without the clock covering it up and could never figure out how to do it again.
Re Rio - looks like the buses run 24/7 every 30 minutes. Straight shot on Flamingo. That said I would still prefer the Gold Coast.

That is great, thx! Are you talking about the shuttles or actual buses???
Check out this thread for more discussion on walking from the Rio to the Strip.
Thx friend, informative thread!
As said above, the Rio is definitely not on the strip and also not "walkable" to the strip - unless you want to spend half your vacation walking across concrete in scorching heat.
If you get a great cheap deal and are happy with the Rio as a place to stay for other reasons, go for it, but just know you will be spending a lot of money on ubers, or need to figure out trams/buses or other alternate arrangements to get to and from Horseshoe/Paris. I know if you've never been to Vegas and just glance
Thx for the HU ; will probably opt for the bus/shuttle/uber 90% of the time, but will definitely walk it a few times. I am more in the fit/not scared to get into a scrap side of the spectrum
I agree with Black Aces. I did the walk once, with a friend, and didn't feel too safe in the early evening. You walk up (and maybe down) an on-ramp, and through a couple of sketchy parking lots. Was very deserted.
Gotcha. If it is not really an enjoyable or at least un-tilting walk, might just eat the uber costs/rely on public transportation.
A curious thing happened today : I had reserved the Rio several months ago and upon exploring other options today, I noticed that the Rio was offering a 35% discount!!! So I just went ahead and cancelled my booking, reserved again and saved $350 for my 19 day stay 🙄

Keep checking literally every other day online - it's surprising the deals you can get out of the blue on Caesar's and occasionally MGM properties. Also I strongly suggest you call the Casino direct even though that might be a hassle internationally. Been my experience they will always match the net price and often can offer you something even better. Now being a rated player obviously can help (no clue your status with Caesar or MGM) but its still worth a shot.
Oh, and Don't walk to the RIO at night from the WSOP. Just not worth the risk - take the hike in the morning to start the event if you want ...... Just please sit at a different table from me LOL.
Good Luck
Walked this way once. I felt a little bit unsafe, its a long walk. Cant recommend it in june/july.
I should of mentioned that the reason I chose the Rio Hotel, was to save about of monies (as opposed to booking Paris, Flamingo etc.), but wanted to be on the strip regardless/within walking distance (at times...), but mainly access to the commodities of a hotel. So saving monies is somewhat important, but not to the extent of being off the strip in a cheap hotel (definitely not) or an AirBnB (okayish option, but still no). So yeah, if anyone has any recommendations/comments/criticism on my pl
Ya the rio would not be a good choice. They used to have a free shuttle right to Bally's/ Horseshoe but they stopped that a while ago. Gold coast I think still has a free shuttle to the strip (tip the driver a buck) would be a better choice, they have an ok breakfast buffet for under $10 with a rewards card. I prefer to stay on the property so Horseshoe for me, I avoid the resort fees with diamond card.

Thx for the replies folks, this thread has been very helpful I am still set on Rio, as all the better AirBnB options are now gone, so it would be a similar price than the Rio, east of the strip and would require an Uber ride. Rio has the bus options and does anyone know how much would an Uber from Rio-Paris cost???

Oh, and Don't walk to the RIO
Haha, alright, ALRIGHT, I will only walk on my way back and perhaps just a couple of times, if that!!!

Will take a look at the Gold Coast, thx!
Updated.
How come no one mentions the Tuscany? Isn't very close to the back door? I have no stayed there in years, but it was fine in 2010.
Updated.
I see that credit cards are an option to buy into the tournaments, does anyone know if this comes with (exuberant) fees????

I preferred the Gold Coast to the Rio when the series was at the Rio. Just need to request a refrigerator. The Rio used to have a free shuttle to the strip. I wonder if they still have that. You could use the shuttle in the morning to get you to Paris/Horseshoe but you'd need another option to get you back to the Rio late at night.

Generally a 3% fee on Visa, more for Amex. Bravo adds a $3 charge for using their service. Can't use a CC to buy into the Main Event, not that I've ever played that.

Yeah I figured there would be some added fees, as opposed to the Aussie Millions or ore... so tilting 😡 Will stick to cash then!
Any recommendations for vegetarian food options in or close to horseshoe/paris?

Definitely don't walk and compare your all in price with travel expenses and time spent. Plan to spend $30-40/day on uber plus tips and that might make staying on the strip worthwhile if its only a little bit more.
Check all the low end caesars. (Harrahs, linq, flamingo) and priceshop.
Are you including Ellis Island in this? I’ve never been but I’ve heard good things and it’s very close to the HS.
"Very" is a variable word. Early morning or evening on a cloudy day when it's 90 outside, it might seem close. It's on Koval iirc, a full city block away. At 2 pm when it's 105 outside, it won't seem very close at all.

Any place that can legit call itself a "hotel" is going to charge you resort fees, no matter how big of a dump it is, e.g. Rio or Circus Circus, or Gold Coast. Figure $30 to $50 per day. A "motel" will not, at least it shouldn't.
The days of free shuttles in Vegas is long gone, unfortunately.

Even a ninja can get stabbed going up against 3 scumbags with knives. Not to mention if they have Glocks. Not sure where you're from, but criminals in Vegas are none too kind. If you insist, at least have some sort of impact weapon and a blinding flashlight.

I think they killed that years ago. Regardless, that was when Rio was part of CET, now it's not.

I AM NOT ENCOURAGING IT BUT THESE ARE THE LAWS FOR FIREARM PROTECTION
(Spend $15 and just take an UBER )
Personal protection NEVADA firearms.
(Note various establishments like Casino's can and do BAN guns perfectly legally.)
Summarized
Possession
No state permit is required to possess a rifle, shotgun or handgun.
Carrying
It is unlawful to carry concealed upon the person a handgun or other firearm without a permit to carry. State law does not prohibit the open carrying of a firearm, but one should exercise caution when carrying a firearm in public.

So first we arm the elementary school teachers and then we arm the poker players?
I stayed 4 nights at the Tuscany last year. Not really a bargain - they claim it's a housekeeping suite but only has a sink and a small refrigerator, Room was okay and exercise facility was good. Also not really that close. I ended up driving my rental to the Horseshoe and then paying the $29 or so parking fee,
Just got an offer for the Rio at $49 per night and waiver of the resort fees. Free parking too, Not sure if that rate includes weekends.. That metro bus schedule is looking better and better 😀

Thx for the responses, but definitely did not mean to derail the thread by the whole walking thingy (was more so responding to the other thread linked...)...

How/where did you get this offer!?!
I messaged Rio about public transportation/ways to get to Paris Hotel, so awaiting on their response...
