New fast food discussion/review thread
OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.
In
My local Wendy's has been promoting a 'deal' where you can add a 4 piece nuggets for $1 with any purchase.
I rolled up yesterday to grab lunch (a delightful Dave's Double) and while I was waiting to order I got to listen to the car ahead of me place theirs. When finished the speaker asker the lady if she wanted to add on a 4 piece nugget for a dollar, she replied "what the hell, sure, I'm already spending THIRTY SEVEN DOLLARS as it is" in the most resigned, frustrated voice you can imagine.
Laughed so hard I had to roll up my window.
She got BBQ sauce btw.
Where are best milkshakes

Holy **** I just laughed the hardest I have in at least a month. thanks man.
I got a double stack biggie bag + tomato and a $1 crispy chicken BLT. The manager gave me TWO ranch sauces for my 4 pc nuggets (from biggie bag).. not that's VIP Level Status!
I have a question for the FF Collective in here:
If you're doing a nothing but nuggets Wendy's meal, what is the correct number of nuggets to order?
The new bucket of nuggets
zomg a redheaded bucket of chicken, I'm sold. Great idea, Wendy's!
I think a challenge has been sent forth from the thread by 27o:
50 Nuggets in ONE SITTING!
I was at a town event where there was AYCE CFA nuggets. I remember opening a lot of sauces.
dmatz right about now
Ain’t nobody ever eat 50 nugs.
Made some square burgers the other night with some lightly jostled and seasoned BEEF. Dave would be proud, but Wendy has problem.
May be Team Square Burger now.
Wasn't there an eating challenge thread in OOT once upon a time, I want to say nuggets were one of the challenges.
Edit: Oh hell yes, that was fun
Anyway, 20 nugs is easy. I may have done 30 once, dunno. I think 50 is possible but would be a challenge. For me. Not for the eating machines of OOT.
Done 50, could have done more. Also done 20 in 70 seconds but they were too hot and my mouth is still scarred 5 years later. Eating challenges aren't worth it in Canada, gotta remortgage.
If I prepared myself I think I could do 50. I wouldn't feel good afterwards though.
Wendy's has been selling 50 nuggets for $15 at locations near me for awhile. Apparently they rebranded it, but I also think it was never listed on their menus so people didn't really know about it. Used to be called family size or something like that.
Depends on the size of the nuggets. 50 Chick fil A nuggets are much easier than 50 McNuggets.
I could eat 40 chicken nuggets with bar b a sauce no problem
Yeah 40 is much more doable. the last 10 (towards 50) is where I'd be regretting my decision. I'd do ranch + honey mustard.
This afternoon, I had 6 Mcnuggets, 3 sauces and a large fries. My stomach felt unsettled after that.
Sigh.
I’m kinda sworn off McNuggets. One time I got them and they were beyond terrible.
I’m not a nugget guy but I grew up with a guy who would routinely crush 2 20 pieces from Rick. Was like 5-10 ~ 190. I’m going to have to call him to inform of this Wendy’s news lol.
I went to Friendly's for the first time in awhile.
It was 50's themed out with decent service. I dined in.
Most customers were getting "to-go" ice cream, but it also seemed like an event for others.
I ordered a smash burger instead of the reg because why not?
I accompanied the smash burger with fries and a chocolate shake.
If you've never had Friendly's Fries, they aren't really fries (or crisps). They are cigarette butt size pieces of fried potato. Like an inch long or something.
They are tiny, golden and crispy. The polar opposite of a 5 guy fry. They also give you very little, whereas 5 guys gives you many.
I did end up smashing my smashburger into the chocolate milkshake (top 10 milkshake). Families were watching.
I then signed up for the rewards program, promptly collected my free medium Sundae tipped $10 on a $20 tab and felt good about it.
Tell me about your day you ff heathens.

Meh. To me it ain't fast food if I have to get out of my car.
