THE Official 2024 PGA Tour Season Thread
I don't have a fancy OP or anything. But now that we are in 2024, and are back to calendar schedules instead of the reach-around schedule, its time for a new thread.

That ending was great... well done Xander!!!!
Good for X, he's been too good for too long to not have bagged at least one of these.
The play elevated the event in particular on Sunday. Course was totally forgettable for me.
X did in fact give it to ya
nicely done
Was hoping for Viktor, but when that didn't happen, extremely happy Xander took it over dechambeau.
How long now until Xander announces he’s taking his talents to a different tour?
Entertaining week of golf. Bit too much of a birdie fest for a major imo. Good for Xander, I don't see any reason to not like the guy. T6 and a 2nd in the majors so far this season for golfer 124 in the world, life changing.
Been playing and watching golf a long time, but I didn't watch this weekends event. What changed about this course (if anything), to have scores this low? Rainy conditions? Tee box placements? Is this scoring avg consistent with previous PGA Champs?
Aside from the soft(er) conditions due to the moisture, reading comments by those smarter than me have indicated it just isn't that hard of a course in today's game. The greens just weren't difficult enough and weren't punitive for the world's best.
Having majors at Valhalla has been a joke with the low winning scores. Bob May shot 18-under there 24 years ago. Hopefully there will be no more big events there now that the PGA no longer owns it.

I think they said that was the lowest ever score in a major, right? Yup just looked it up. Both the 263 and the 21-under are records.

The best thing I have read so far is:
He was arrested, released, and will make his tee time is the whitest sentence ever.
