I like the change, and think it makes sense to keep the Main the same, both because it's more actual dollars awarded for the mincash, but also obv a decent amount of satty qualifiers so the bubble is already extra meaningful.

Bad change when paying 15%, OK to pay 2x mincash when paying 10%. Days of old top-heavy payouts seem over, sad.

anyone else like me looking closely at structures?

30/40 min tournaments ime (as a 100b cash player) are pretty brutal from a playability perspective -- lose a couple medium pots in the beginning/mid stages and you're already down to 10-20bbs.

Quick list of longer structure events:

$1500 6max 40/60
monster stack $1500 60 mins from the jump
millionaire maker $1500 60mins
main event 120mins
Midstakes championship $3k 60mins

WSOP does a $600 with 40/60. One of the best events on the schedule every year.

Have to look closely because some of their $600s are 30 min levels aka glorified one day tournaments.

Hi. I'm confused on day 1D of Main Event. On day 1D they play 5 levels and resume on day 4. But on day 4 remaining `player from days 1A, 1B and 1C had played 10 levels. How come?

Salute to Warriors is a $500 with 40 minute levels and 50k start stack, which is a good value also for sure.

i assume payout is now 15% i think at years past wasnt most events at 18%?

Been 15% for many years now.

I think it was 10% before that.

Salute to Warriors is a $500 with 40 minute levels and 50k start stack, which is a good value also for sure.

It's right before the $400 Colossus which has a good structure also 40k/40 min and will have a ton of entries and not have an extra 8% taken out of the prize pool.

On another note, a good $300 tournament this Sunday at The Orleans with 50k chips and 30 min. blinds (assuming you take the $100 add on right away $200 + $100) good blind structure and 60k guarantee but should have 400-500.

It's the best $300 structure you will find. This tournament is slightly better overall structure than the $600 Aria. Main difference is 50k starting vs 30k.

Yep the last couple years I came the week that the Colossus and Salute were and enjoyed both events. Unfortunately, can't make that week work this year, going June 5-12 instead. Primary scheduled events (obv things can change due to Day 2 etc.):

June 5 - $800 deepstack WSOP
June 6 - $1600 2M guarantee Day 1C Wynn
June 7 - $1500 shootout WSOP
June 8 - $1600 750k guarantee Ultimate Stack Day 1B Venetian
June 9 - $300 Gladiator Day 1D WSOP
June 10 - $1500 freezeout WSOP
June 11 - $1100 mystery bounty Aria

Also if I'm out, will play a couple of the $400 satellites at Aria to the $3500 BetMGM tourney on June 7/8. LGLG.

I prefer fast structures until you get to like 10% then you can slow it down.

One of the real problems with structures when you get deep in the money is that hour levels are more like 30 minute levels with how slow play gets.

It's been a hot minute since I've been to Vegas during WSOP time. The TBIC accounts - can this be used to buy in to daily deepstacks and satellites as well, or is it only bracelet events?

oh okay my bad. Idk but I just assumed it was betwen 15-18% for A LOT of events. idk why I assumed

Seems like I remember Main Event paying 19k for min cash, maybe that was 10-15 years ago.

Maybe when only 10% of field got paid.

A WSOP PARIS TBIC Account can be used to buy into any WSOP sanctioned event. If you can get the ticket at the Paris cage you can use your TBIC Funds.

If you set your account up via Bravo and funded it via Payfiniti I THINK so but have no experience to be absolutely sure for the daily.

Not a fan of this change, but I’ve always been part of what is clearly a minority who believe the mincash should be less than the buy-in (but start the mincash at like 25% of the field).

Good luck everyone! Especially the ladies. As much as I love playing poker with the guys we women need more representation in the big games. 😁💃💰

How do you all feel about the skill level in a $1,500? I've heard your table draw in wsop events can be key but I'm a winning 2-5nl player and feel more confident with deeper stacks so thought that might be my best event for the lower buy in?

Problem is, I probably wouldn't rebuy if busted unless it was a total BS Hand the first hour in and said **** it. Can I pay the night before a day C and not worry about it being full?

The Monster Stack and Milly Maker are great options. I've played the Monster twice. Table draw is random and you can get unlucky, but a rough guess would be 1-2 random pro types and then mostly tourists and rec players. I don't think it's anything to be scared of if you're beating 2/5.

As with all tournaments, the sledding will get tougher as you get deeper. Day two starting table is likely to have at least a couple tough players.

I actually like this change, why not be able to double your money with a min-cash?

Interesting though, the Main Event is still hard coded at $15K min cash, so no change for the Main Event payout structure, evidently.

Main event stays at 15k mincash since anything over 5k net wins triggers a w2-g and too much paperwork to fill out on the main event bubble as cashouts happen fast at that point.

Ya sounds weird but I’m for anything that prevents excessive tanking and seems like the bubble would move a good bit faster at 25% pay than 10-15.

Why not just bring in shot clocks when we're x players away from the bubble?

Logistics and maybe doesn't help as much as people think
