New fast food discussion/review thread
OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

Thanks, guys. I just looked at my local DQ menu.
No chicken fried steak fingers here. Just chicken.
I used to get DQ's chicken fingers w/toast and gravy, but that was 20+ years ago. Alas, I don't think they do gravy anymore, as I see now it comes with a tub o' ranch, industrial grade.
Appears to be a similar gravy shortage here. Ranch must spread like kudzu.
At least in Texas, you can still get gravy. The tacos are good in similar to a Taco Bell way where they aren't authentic tacos, but hit a certain type of craving.
No tacos at all here. Hot dogs, chili cheese dogs, etc. RED's Flamethrower is alive and well--available as a double or triple.
Tacos at a DQ is foreign to me. Not sure we get the chicken-fried steak, either. Checks app...
Nada.
Burgs, dogs, chix strips. Fries, rings, curds n pretzel. That's about it. Flamethrower def available, though.
On Monday and Wednesdays, Buffalo Wild Wings has AYCE wings and fries for $20. Dine in only.

edit: Okay apparently this is an oldish deal that I just learned about...
double edit: It's only boneless wings. Meh.

Texas-y goodness. There is a separate app specifically for Texas DQ which is interesting.
Also available, on a HungrBustr or as a side: jalitos, which are crispy fried jalapeno strips. Mmmm.
child, once upon a time it was destiny burger king and dairy queen have a little jack in the box and get married
Steak fingers. Interesting.
Omg. It never clicked... Burger King and Dairy Queen!
The Bridgertons of Fastfood.
Mickey's 5 buck deal:
Doubt they'll have it here. A McDouble here is about $4.60 just by itself.

That's a pretty safe bet. I've gotten several FF-related emails lately that have specifically said "prices higher in California".
Speaking of Rick, I'm seeing advertising for the Grandma McFlurry. Not sure I even want to look to see what that might be.
I just had a double jalapeno cheeseburger meal at Freddie's, their #5. I liked it, the fries were very thin and crispy, and so were the meat patties. Like meat pancakes almost, hanging way over the bun in all directions. Good friendly service too, and it's right by my new library here in Hillbillyland.
If you were truly in Hillbillyland, you would know it's a liberry!
I got the $1 TacoBell Crispanada deal today. The deal lasted about 15 minutes before the 20,000 coupons got used up.

For a buck this thing was delicious! Better than the catered empanada I had last weekend. But at $3.50.. idk, 5 bites and it was gone.
Pony is slow, but avoid DQ chicken strips at all costs. Bad breading and lots of it.
lol at a cheesy bean and rice anywhere near $1.19 these days

It’s even worse than we thought.
The McDonald's increase is jacked up because of the California location. The 2019 prices look about the same as here (from memory) but currently Big Macs are $4.89, medium fries $2.99, McChickens $2.19, etc.
No $1.19 Taco Bell items around here any more either.
Speaking of Rick, supposedly a free 6 pc McNuggets for all in the app, tomorrow only.

I detest those string fries but Freddy's burgers are top notch. Frozen custard good too, though I've become more of a Culver's fan in that department.
Free nugs Seattle ty for the tip

Processed chicken destroys my stomach. Same thing for rotisserie chickens
McDonald's is by far the worst, by a factor of 2 or 3. They appear to be way too labor intensive. They usually have 8 or 10 employees at my local one, and they are by far the slowest ff joint in town. That's a recipe for bankruptcy. The local BK, back when it was open, had 4 or 5 employees, the JITB I've often seen with 3. I bet the BK and JITB push far more food out of the window than Mickey's.
