Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.
I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.
Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.
Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.
No personal family information or situations allowed in the thread.

OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. I channelled my inner rice at an airport lounge yesterday by using a bowl intended for soup to fill with curry as the plates were so tiny they would hold only a few spoonfuls. Then when it was time to board I wrapped a brownie in napkins and put it in my bag along with a can of soda water to consume on the plane.
Non-zero chance I get my AMEX revoked someday for piling Centurion Lounge food into Tupperware I slide into my carry-on. Only the Vegas one has reprimanded me, so maybe they watch Rice's channel and know the trick
I just don't understand the allure of wanting to say you play poker for a living. From Trooper, Bikeking, Pman, Diesel etc.
Do you know what is cool to be able to say? You actually make money playing poker. Enough money where you don't have to nerf your lifestyle to meet your win rate. Enough money to actually show a positive win rate. Enough money to fund your tournament buy ins yourself because you actually are +ev and you get to capture all that ev yourself and not have to sell 50% of a $500 employees event.
Has there ever been a poker player with less experience, barely a Hendon Mob, less skill, less everything that confidently posts about looking for a backer to play a full WSOP schedule than Pman?

I had the Amex platinum for a year. I used the lounges maybe 5-6 times.
My dream was to find a rich woman to take care of me in there but no such luck.
That’s 100% the guy from Southern Indiana that started a thread in PG&C about 10 years ago. He owned a small apartment building but eventually sold it. He took that money and gambled it in the stock market. He was buying risky stocks on margin and was early on a couple that would later blow up. He got ate up with margin calls though and missed out on potentially MILLIONS because of it. He’s gone busto or close to it several times. He got tied up in the GameStop/meme frenzy and when Robin H
I've seen the Gamestop type story quite a bit. If it were me, I'd be out after making a couple hundred bucks. The ones that hang on to watch it run up into the hundreds of thousands are exceedingly greedy. That same greed often kills them later because they keep wanting more and they lose most or all of their profit.

Thank you for the detailed summery of the Youtuber I have been trying to remember. Also, thank you to Tiresman as well. Honestly, his life sounds super stressful. I am exhausted just reading what you wrote. He needs to listen to Dave Ramsey, and be the tortoise, not the hare. I'll have to check out his custom putting greens and basketball courts. If he is good at building those two things, he should stick to doing that for a living (assuming there is a demand for it).

He’s not doing them anymore, he’s just grinding poker and giving tennis lessons. But from the pics he posted it looked like he did really good work. One thing you can say is that guy isn’t lazy!
Is this Herbs and Rye at the TOC being streamed now? I have only seen him a couple short times and you guys say he is a crusher so it would make sense if so.
