I really, really, disagree. Over the last couple of years, Boston has cooked the Mavs. Boston's lineup is close to ideal for defending Luka and Kyrie because they have so much length and versatility on the perimeter. That isn't dispositive because Luka and Kyrie can score on anyone. But Boston's offensive depth is a real problem also. The Mavs have no choice but to play Luka and Kyrie forty minutes a game. That means Luka has to defend Jaylen or Tatum almost the entire game and Kyrie has to defend Derrick White or Jrue for most of the game. Luka on a bad knee defending Tatum or Jaylen for an entire game is not going to be pretty. And Kyrie giving up size to Derrick White or Jrue won't be much fun either.

The Mavs obviously will hunt Horford and Staps (if he is available) relentlessly on switches, but I can't see that being enough to get the Mavs over the line.

KAT's game is not aesthetically pleasing anymore.
