[Pokerbros] Discussion thread
At the request of KptBomba, I figured I would start a separate thread for people to discuss the new app Pokerbros as to not derail any other threads in this section. I guess people can ask questions about it and post their experiences here.
So far, me and some of my network are seeing MUCH softer games than we are used to seeing in other places. I have been impressed with the lack of glitches with it being a new app. I have also been impressed with how quickly improvements have been implemented with updates.
I believe it is set up with similar functions to other poker apps to make it easier for users to adapt to and it not to be such a task to learn the interface.

We constantly get posters in these threads looking for agents, clubs, etc.; many people have no idea where to start. We also have posters that are agents or club owners, and undoubtedly some of them are PMing posters with offers - some of them long-time contributing posters, and others who come to 2+2 solely to drum up business.

Just wanted to bump this as we have a couple of posters involved in this program so far, and I think it's (understandably) causing a little confusion because it isn't instantly obvious which posters are allowed to advertise. At the moment, it's just "Big Hal" and "whatwonder" that are, and the one way to tell is their custom undertitles (what it says under their screen name; mine is "2+2 Ad Man", for example) - only administrators can change those, so if it says anything about being an "agent" o
Personally i have never felt anything shady, solid sample 100-400 4 card (200 main game) in the bigger unions.

hey there - thanks for the heads up! i'll look into it.
the main place for LHE would be ignition/bovada. it also runs occasionally on ACR Poker and occasionally on KingsClubPkr.
for apps: I see people sitting hu sometimes on pokerbros, but I haven't seen any games running. I know of one or two smaller clubs that run like a 2/4 limit once a week kind of thing, but that's about it.

-this could be talking to them, asking questions, and seeing if you get a good vibe and if things pass the smell test
-asking to talk to some of the agent's current/past players
-looking the agent up on 2+2/social media/internet
-asking them to get vouches or references from some good-reputation poker peeps that you both know in common
-ask in this thread (or somewhere else) for people to post any experiences with/feedback on the agent
and there are probably some other ways i can't think of right now
Is it normal procedure for an agent to wait for a security report after hitting a BBJ on your table ? Over the last few years playing on Pokerbros, I won BBJ twice and was dealt a hand where others players hit it maybe 3-4 times over the last years and I had no problem withdrawing it. Now I am being told I must wait a couple of days for the security report. I am kinda confused tbh. I mean why, it's a BBJ... ? Because I used 5-6 different agents over the last years and always no problem for withdrawing after BBJ. But small agent size obv when hitting BBJ, only 2 agents and they never talked about security report and having to wait a couple of days for withdrawing. Is it normal procedure? Asking people here who knows about agent stuffs..
Yes, every JP is investigated by security. Last time you hit the procedure might not have been in place, but it is now.

Definitely chat with the agent and see if you have a good vibe and gut feeling with them. There is plenty of trust needed to work with an agent and in apps
And to be fair it does get broken if your gut is wrong or unluckiness, I guess it is the problem with the Internet and the fact that some agents work in countries where poker is illegal, so things can get weird if they are getting prosecuted or something.
Happened with me multiple times, so don't hand over money you are not willing to loose. And withdraw when you can, to at least get a feel on how they work as agents and people.
But if you find an agent that seems legit, build trust with them over time. And as mentioned don't play with what u can't loose. Both for gambling and handing mover to an agent
Using LDplayer9 and trying pokerbros for first time but get connection problems.
I have browser working and so on so network is not the problem.
Anyone now what to do?
Just unlucky timing i guess. There is maintenance every Thursday CET afternoon that lasts around 5h.
what do you guys suggest for playing on pokerbros using a mac? i have a couple players who keep getting error messages: "not compatible with apple silicon, "no macOS version," etc
