pp on ace-high flop 3-ways as preflop raiser
½ NL, player to my left is someone loose but can play OK postflop. Don’t remember all exact positions.
H1 I raise to 12 with one limper with TT, player to my left calls, limper calls. Flop is A53, r. Checked to player on my left who bets 15 and takes it.
H2 I open to 10 with 88 UTG + 1. Player to my left calls and CO calls. Flop is AAJ, r. I cbet 15, player to my left calls. Turn is a 5, x/x. River is a 7, I check, player to my left bets 25 and I fold.
Should I be playing these more or less aggressively? I could have barrelled H2.

NHs. They likely have weakish aces, but they're not folding them. They didn't call with A9s to fold when they hit TP.
On hand two, it might even be a J that just doesn't think you have an A because of card removal, but even so, I'd need a strong read before I'd try to barrel him off of it.
It's a small data sample.
You could have a strong Ax in either hand, or at least some Jx or better in H2.
In my session last night, I got dealt TT and 77 multiple times in the first few hours, and only won one hand. Every flop had over-cards, and I had to check-fold to a bet from someone who I knew would be calling pre with every Ax and Broadway combo.
Just stay calm and play disciplined. Eventually you'll hit a set, two pair, or just a better AX, and get paid.

I’d have led on HH1, and if I hadn’t led I would have at least called the flop bet
On HH2 I would have played it exactly like you, except once he bets the River I would check raise. I think with this sizing he’s usually capped with a Jack (I also think he has a lot of bluffs—we unblock all the QT/KT/KQ hands that missed—but I don’t think this happens enough for check-calling to be better than check-raising), while we can very easily have trips+. So I’m turning Jacks into a bluff and raising to $125 and expecting it to get through very very often.
Note that davo apparently plays in a player pool with much higher FE than average... IME, in most of American low-stakes NL, trying to make money by getting Vs to fold broadway pairs is an exercise in futility.

RE: hh2, here’s one I played the other day:
I Raise 8c8s to $8 one call. Flop AQ5cc I bet 6 he calls. Turn 2x. I x he x. River Jc. I x he bet 18 I raise to 75 he folds.
Yeah, I've seen a lot of HHs like that in your own posts, so I believe it works in your pool, but here's a similar HH I recall from just a few hours south of you, though admittedly the FD didn't come in:
I raise AhQh to $10, two callers. Flop AsQd8s I bet $20, one fold, one call. Turn 5x, I bet $50, he calls. River Tx. I bet 1/2 pot for value targeting his big AX and his Q-hi FDs. He calls with Ad6d. I guess I was targeting his small AX too.

Only 11 states???
That's barely 20%.
Slacker.
Well, in my defense, it's only legal in 33 states, afaict. Also I forgot a few. When I went through the list to see how many it's legal in, I realized I've actually played licensed poker in 19 states, mostly at the 1/2 and 1/3 NL level, but also some spread-limit in Colorado and Minnesota, and 2/5 and 5/10NL in a few.
What is Oberbiergenießer? Top beer expert? How did you get a German title on 2+2?
Top beer connoisseur. I was a German teacher when I got it, and the mod who gave it to me always made fun of my beer snobbery (APD, drinker of grilled Bud Light). I don't remember what I did , but he gave me an undertitle as a prize for something. Maybe one of the games we used to play? I honestly don't remember. But he told me it had to be in German and mention beer, so that's what I came up with.
