Which EA Sports NHL game on Playstation was the one where you always scored after taking a sharp 90 degree turn towards goal from one of the face-off spots? NHL 98 or 99?
Basketball games peaked in 2004 for me. They got way too complicated. I couldnt even pick up a controller and play now
That was NHL 93. Hitting a guy so hard making his head bleed was so awesome. They took that away in NHL 94. But I can't complain about 94. That was the first year they had the one timers. A HUGE innovation that changed everything forever. Still if you combined the classic macabre-ness of NHL 93 with the technical/gameplay achievements of 94 it would be the greatest hockey game ever.

6.5 game 1 feels a bit high as I'd think even if KP is mostly fine, he'll be on a minutes limit in his first game back
Also would think logically Celts have an adjustment period having to play a real team with real high end players for once
Whichever NHL 90s game had an OP Sergei Federov was my favorite.
It was also the reason that him, Lemeux, and Jagr are still the only hockey players I can name to this day.

Also of note is that Luka/Kyrie are epic closers and could def keep it tight down the stretch.

I have a Colecovision he can add to his console collection if he wants it.
Tecmo NBA for Super Nintendo is still my all time favorite basketball game. The tight controls. The perfect music. The fact that you had complete control over whether the shot went in or out based on how well you timed shooting the ball at the top of a player's jump shot. One of my friends figured out this bug kind of thing where you could make a guaranteed three whenever you took the ball out of bounds on the sideline and threw it to someone in the corner. There’d be a guy in the corner initially when the play starts, you wait for a second guy to rotate down there, pass it to them and shoot immediately and it would just go in every time. Ruined the game cause he would just run out of bounds on purpose to set it up.
