My uncle was in his late 80s when my cousins in their 60s dragged him to see his great nephew, the lead singer, perform.

I introduce Tangled Up in Blue to my freshman English students every year... & just about every year, at least one kid will deep dive Dylan from there.
But, of greater personal significance - way back in 1980, I was the overnight accountant in a large hotel. The breakfast line cook was a guy I went to high school with; so most days I would stop down in the kitchen and hang until I could hand the property over to the morning manager. Back then I had this habit of leaving my basketball shoes untied. One morning I was sitting on a freezer when Laura, a relatively new waitress, came strolling by. She paused, bent down and tied my laces; straightening back up, she said, "you look like the silent type." That moment, and the times spent we spent together afterward, will never escape my mind.
