Edit: RULES FOR THIS THREAD
Posting guidelines for Politics and Soci...
These are our baselines. We're not reinventing the wheel here. If you aren't sure if something is acceptable to post, its better to ask first. If you think someone is posting something that violates the above guidelines, please report it or PM me rather than responding in kind.
To reiterate some of the points:
1. No personal attacks. This is a broad instruction, but, in general, we want to focus on attacking an argument rather than the poster making it. It is fine to say a post is antisemitic; it is not okay to call someone an antisemite over and over. If you believe someone is making antisemitic posts, report them or PM me. The same goes for calling people "baby killers" and "genocide lovers". You are allowed to argue that an action supports genocide or that the consequences of certain policies results in the death of children, but we are no longer going to be speaking to one another's intentions. It is not productive to the conversation and doesn't further any debate.
2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.
3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.
4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.
5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.
If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.
Please be aware this thread is strictly moderated
Since you refused to link anything and just used the propoganda term "UN EXPERTS "
https://www.gisreportsonline.com/r/human...
the EXPERTS have long had bias against Israel
The most obvious example of bias is the HRC’s disproportionate focus on Israel. Alone among the world’s countries, Israel is subject to a separate item of the HRC agenda: Agenda Item 7, titled “Human rights situation in Palestine and other occupied Arab territories.” Every other human rights situation is examined under Agenda Item 4, titled “Human rights situations that require the Council’s attention.”
In addition, the HRC currently has 14 “country mandates” that focus on human rights situations in individual countries, such as North Korea and Iran. All these country mandates are subject to periodic renewal except for the “Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967,” which remains in place “until the end of the Israeli occupation.”
Since 2006, the HRC has adopted between four and eight resolutions condemning Israel annually. According to a database compiled by UN Watch, Israel was the focus of 103 of 280 condemnatory resolutions (37 percent) adopted by the HRC from 2006 through May 2023. In 2022, Israel was condemned more often than Afghanistan, Myanmar, North Korea and Syria. Only Russia was condemned as many times as Israel by the HRC that year. Although some condemnatory resolutions contain praise, this rarely happens for Israel: 102 of 210 total condemnatory resolutions lacking any praise (49 percent) adopted by the HRC from 2006 to May 2023 focused on Israel.
Despite poor human rights records, China, Cuba, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Zimbabwe and many other governments have never been condemned by the HRC. Yet the body has condemned the U.S., whose human rights record is far superior to those nations.
I understand why you didn't link it now Jaf
It's embarrassing what a ****ing joke the UN HUMAN RIGHTS COUNCIL is.
Lol at taking what they say at all seriously
Obviously the sign is fake but you post it anyway to fit your anti Israel propoganda
The road sign is a well known Scottish meme that's adapted to whomever they don't want to visit and you'll see it all over the internet with different text.
I was posting that it's a symbol of the lack of affection among the Scots for Israel now.
So Mexico now has a Jewish president. What's the over/under in days on Mexico somehow being Nazi?

She is a communist though.
Same as the leader of the major leftist party in Italy is a Jew but she doesn't get insulted too much for it, as she is very leftist (also a lesbian so more intersectional points to defend her).
As much as it looks like a racial issue (and it is for some people), in many places as I tried to explain a while ago it's the very simple left v right cultural civil war with Israel as the proxy of american capitalist imperialism and palestine as the proxy of socialism

I think most progressive liberals view it this way. But they are also way too comfortable breaking bread with Islamists who view it is a racial/religious issue.
IMO the anti-Western animus of "anti-Zionists" is an important reason to support Israel in the ideological proxy war. There is rational reasons to be critical of Israel, although if one actually cared about Palestinians there is no reason to support their 80 year political project of destroying Israel, as nothing good will come of it.
At this point there is no rational reason to support progressive leftism. It has shown itself to be an incoherent, destructive anti-civilization ideology.
UN experts urge all countries to recognise Palestinian statehood
A group of UN experts have called for all countries to recognise a Palestinian state to ensure peace in the Middle East.
The experts, including the UN special rapporteur on the human rights situation in the Palestinian territories, said recognition of a Palestinian state was an important acknowledgment of the rights of the Palestinian people and their struggle towards freedom and independence.
They said:
The call came less than a week
They can have a state. It will be called Gaza.
You would think people would forgive them for their intifadas and Jihads and Martyrs and rocket attacks and paraglider attacks, and suicide bombings, and rapes and hostage taking.
The idea is that it is a mistake to consider the totality of Gaza residents responsible for those acts.
Hamas is oppressive and terroristical with Palestinians as well

Walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, probably a terrorist. Look at the seething hate from these people in these riots around the world. Look at what is being taught in their schools. Parents happily send their kids to Hamas summer camp. Listen to their words "From the river to the sea". There is a reason they cover their faces.

Man Hamas uses the same violence against Jews and against Palestinians who disagree with them. It's a terrorist group governing a territory dictatorially. They even decide who eats and who doesn't.
Once in a while I run into a regional stat that stuns me. This is such a stat
According to the Egyptian Family Health Survey (EFHS) 2021, 86 percent of Egyptian married women between the ages of 15 and 49 have undergone FGM (Female genital mutilation), 74 percent of whom by doctors.
That is WILD. I didn't realize Egypt was Islamizing as fast as it was. That's a trajectory to be the next Somalia if their economy keeps regressing at the present pace. Over 4 in 5 married women and rising. I heard 80% mentioned in a podcast and just had to go look for myself. I can't believe 80% was slightly low.
How about a state comprising Gaza, the West Bank and something connecting them?
btw you never did link me to the part of your long video that you claimed showed the violent pro-Palestine demo on the streets of London.
The people of the West Bank voted fatah
The people of gaza voted hamas
Neither will allow more electronions
Who is in charge of this theoretical state?
East coast and West coast voted Dem, the people in the middle voted GOP. Who is in charge of this theoretical state and what about the electronions?
