How do you activate Strawberry Julius run good?

With a suck out of course!

Brit grand ma opens for a raise. We flat with pocket 5’s and a dream. Russian grand ma calls. 3 way.

F:356 rainbow
Brit GM continues, we tank flat, Russian GM min raises, Brit GM goes AI, I announce me2, Russian GM joins the party!

T:Q R:5

Russian GM shows 24, Brit GM looks dejected and doesn’t show. We table and celebrate!

Very strategically placed strawberry julius to hide the winnings!

In other news first venture into bubble crap was positive!

In for $100.

First venture into close face pai gow was a loser ($96). Got to play with some nice players.

Top Gun in VA this is for you:

First venture into OBJ (you see what I did here):

An empty Black Jack table, almost reminds me of the scene from the Chevy Chase movie, the only empty table that is priced at $15 (while all $25 ones are semi or full), has all the classic signs of slasher movies, hero sits down with $100, probably played 4 or 5 hands.

This dealer is a true casino professional, he can never miss, if I am at 20 (after drawing 4 cards), he would draw 21 with more cards. He did not lose a single hand, at best we tied. I get up with my last $15 and ran from there as fast as I could.

First OBJ Negative $85. Take that to our favorite game Bubble Craps and turn it around $65.

After a few minutes here and there I pass by it and see another gentleman playing two spots. Sit down with $100, we trade a few back n forth and down to $65. As any sane person would do put $5 on dealer bust out and bet $60.

We see 10 and wait for it … a 6! Damn!

Dealer draws a 7. I ask my friend Mr. Two Spots, WWYD? As a professional he says you need to hit, but, you bet all your money, so play safe. We stay put.

Mr. Two Spots helps us out by drawing all low cards on his 16.

Dealer has a 7, draws a 9 and a 6 to bust out! Got paid $130 and I was outta there.

Second OBJ was positive $30.

At an asian convention gambool table at Wynn. Either I win a lot or die trying.

There will be blood!!!

First hand, straddle and a lot of raises that I lost track off. In the end a smart Korean girl who looks like 16 calls an AI from an older Korean gentleman. Time to see the holdings:

SKG16: A’s OKG: Q6s

She still had to sweat the board as OKG turns an open ender!

In other news what’s happening to Djoker in French, he is being dragged like a raggedy doll!

Sounds like a good table!

Be sure to stay topped off

TY TJ!

Open 7h8h for 15, three callers.

Lets say we didn’t like the flop:
3h4h7d

Pot: $125-30

Check, V1 bets 25, V2 flats, we ship 200ish (lost a little on the last pot). V1 takes a good 2 minutes and folds!

Down $86 (let’s say we died trying!)

56 in a limped pot.
F:346 (at this point we were down to $120/300)

There was a raise and a call, we ship and get snapped by 36. Turn and River didn’t help.

Reload another $300 and left down $86.

The daily deep stack today crossed 1K entries for the first time!

Last hand before the break we have 79.5K. CL raises 15K, I call with AKos, Shorty calls.

F:A22, he bets 20K, I announce AI. He makes the call with A6os.

We see this:

Freaking 6 on the River!

I am at a loss for words!

1030+ entries, 155 pay, we were 95 away from the money.

Absolutely disgusting sir.
Condolences.
Keep firing

Resetting myself here!

He makes the call with A6s sorry.

We can beat methodical, but hard to beat stupidity!

Sit down at Resorts World and double up very first hand 7’s>109 on a 731010 turn. V goes AI and we oblige.

There is a village idiot in the middle seat. If possible I would like to take him to value town or get owned by him. The later became true.

Blinds 400/800/800.

VI opens for 1600, I make it 5100 with K’s
He flats.

F:245 1h I have 60K behind and ship it. He snap calls with 3h5h.

T:Jh oh no
R:8h giving him backdoor flush, so instead of getting us with a str8 gets us with backdoor flush. Classic!

Took and reentry with one aim, let’s mess with his tournament today!

I couldn’t repeat the final table magic like before.

I was out quite early on a 78J flop with KJ to J8. Turn and River didn’t help and I was out n about!

First venture into crap less craps was a net positive of $130. This was my first experience with crap less craps at Resorts World. Two young guys were betting on 12 and were getting paid $900 each time I hit a 12. On the first role I hit 12 3 times and 2/3 once. They were quite happy with my turn with the dice.

I have a pearl with MGM and have an e check option setup with them.

Went to draw some and was told there is a charge for the e check option for below platinum. Really? I have been using this option for a very long time.

Oh well there is always Black Jack where you can make it back in two hands. It worked made an extra 20.

Played three events, 600 Aria, DDS and Resorts World.

Aria:

I was down to 12.5K and built it back up 44.3K at first break. Then a series of hands where I kept missing combo draws and kept losing to the soul reader with second or third pair.

Last hand 14K. There is a raise to 1800 (L6), 4 way:

F:J65 w 2 clubs

I ship the rest with J9 spades, soul reader makes the call with 46 clubs.

T: 9 R:8c to end our Aria event.

Man! I would have rather contributed to the stack of nice looking lady in seat 9.

Our table at Aria.

DDS:
Entered the DDS with few mins left in L4, late reg line took some time, was seated at the start of L5. Was sent to Normandy 847. This table is where people came to donate to the lady chip leader.

She was so good that even if she plays with napkins she will win.

She opens to 15K and gets three callers and took them all out with A’s

Very next hand took K’s with 26os flopped trip deuces etc.,

I somehow managed to double through her when I shoved with AQos and she called with K10 hearts and missed a lot of outs.

In the end down to 12K in L9 shipped 10J hearts and ran into Q’s. 10 on the flop and no additional help.

Resorts World 7PM:

Down to two tables, EP opens 4K 1/1.5/1.5K level. I 3bet 12K w Kings.

I have 33/34K to start. CL calls.
F:886

He happily stacks the rest of my chips with pocket 6’s. That was a bummer!

Tried the Mediterranean place in food court and felt the falafel was very dry.

I think I will stick with Geylang Clay Pot stand menu item Mushroom Pot.

So, the King(s) didn’t save the day for us!

At least we would have had some soul satisfaction instead of contributing to the soul reader!

Hard not to lose a lot when people flop boats against your overpair. That's pure bad luck.

Better times ahead hopefully.

The craziness called tournament poker at shoe and MGM.

Played 800 deep stack and built our stack to 164K in L16 (a few mins before dinner) this hand happens:

On our BB (w AcKc) we see a MP shove for 84.5K, gets called by button (who got us covered).

We did this mistake at Nugget (by flatting a raise). If we are playing this the two options we have are fold pre or shove.

We have suited AK, so, I opted to choose shove.

We didnÂ’t have to stay for dinner break at the Shoe. That was a bummer.

Played MGM Double Green Chip. We started with 20K and at this point we had 40K on our BB (limped).

Board: QsJd3

Shorty shoves for 12.5, we make the call with Q7os. She had Q9 and the flop and turn run out low cards and her 9 kicker takes the pot. Missed a bounty!

We were at 26.5K when this hand happened. In a 4 way pot we are in with Qh9h (1k/2k/2k).

Pot Pre: 10K
F:Q34 1 heart, two spades, we all check.
T:8h, SB checks, I bet 11.5K the rest fold to SB. He decides to shove. Well half my stack is in so LFG!

Hero:Qh9h V:As9s. Hmm no raise pre and no bet on the flop?

River: Js. Can we win one flip please when we are ahead with a pair and a FD?

Planning to take it easy and play seniors 9AM today, fingers crossed!

Congrats on the run - any final table is a good final table - keep the pics coming

Last day in Vegas before our Cindrella Flight!

Hope our day turns out as bright as Bellagio in the morning sun!

Activities for the day:
1. Cash game at Wynn (with a touch of Strawberry J)
2. Daily Deep Stack

Breadcrumbs from yesterday:
1. Cash game shenanigans at the Shoe
2. Almost close run in Orleans 7PM event
3. Title appearance in a hand in the 40K Orleans DS event
4. Single spin rounding off to the nearest $5 and change at Wynn

May be we need that Strawberry Julius run good.

The two guys, one to my left and one to my right are playing high risk high variance game.

V1 straddles, 6 callers, he bumps it to $12. I bump it to 75. Everyone folds to short stack who has $86 and says he has to call here.

Board: 774J3 shows me 7c10c to take the pot. We had Ladies!

Next hand, he takes the rest of our chips A’s<8’sF:8910.

Worst part is, by the time I got my reload chips he is gone. I guess we are not getting those chips back!

Waiter one Strawberry J please!

Last day update continued...

When we last left, we were trying to get our chips back from the wild guys at our 1/3 table at Wynn. Our two big hands, A's and Q's were both losers.

Unfortunately, the three guys left (to play the 250K tournament). The table was still good, but we did leave the table as a loser for the initial buy-in.

I was having a little trouble juggling between my final table appearance online and the live game (not used to playing both at the same time). Nothing major I was participating in mystery bounty events priced less than $20. So, took a break and sat down at bubble craps machine. We made more money on bubble craps than the online event. I went to cash out and the ATM usually rounds it down and prints a ticket for the extra change.

Getting Rounded at Encore!

I ended up with 67c. Went to the next machine which has a minimum bet of 50c and hit spin. It ended up hitting some sort of combination and gave me back $4.81. Use the ATM again, insert the 81c in another machine. This time it was $5.67. You know the drill take the 67c and tried a quick hit machine. It returned $6.13 this time. Since there is no machine that accepts 13c donated the same.

So, my initial 67c turned into $15. Not bad for getting rounded.

Lunch at Wazuzu

Met a friend from East Coast for a nice lunch break at Wazuzu. Took my friend around Wynn while we were waiting for our seat at the restaurant.

We tried Vegetable Fried Rice and Drunken Noodles with Tofu. Both the items were really good. The salad can be skipped as the portion they gave to the price they charged is not comparable.

We took an uber back to the Shoe, my friend went to play the online event, while I went for DDS. Bought in the day before, so I was blinded down to 21500 from 25K SS. The table started wondering where I was. Made a few hands, but never crossed a high mark of 24K. I was out before the end of L8 when my Qc10c didn't win the race against QJ. What looked like a chop went his way. As this was the last day and I didn't feel like playing anymore tournaments I just sticked with 1/3 cash game at the shoe.

Made $105 before realizing that I haven't had my share of Starbucks coffee and the fountains show. So, went for a walk and bumped into a couple who were from Washington. Told them how much I enjoyed my time at the Olympic National Park and they were happy to hear the same.

Stopped by Starbucks, took a Latte enjoyed two shows of fountains at the Bellagio and came back to the Shoe and it looked like my stack lost some chips. The table informed me that it was not my seat anymore and my chips were picked up as I was gone for long.

I had to wait for a few minutes to get on another table (thanks to the floor person). Made another $150 before it was time to get ready for my flight. Tipped the floor person and conveyed my thanks for seating me earlier. Took a short walk to Istanbul and packed my dinner for the Spirit Airlines flight.

Majority of my cash game sessions were net positive while my time at the tournaments was not financially rewarded. Maybe I should stick with Cash Games in the off time instead of playing two tournaments per day.

Will provide an update on my cash game shenanigans at the shoe from yesterday before wrapping this trip report.

Thanks for the TR. sorry about the tourney results. Are the Aria events playing in the area in front of the poker room?

Yeah Brian, same location, temporary tables in front of the poker room.

One day I was there early and wanted to play 1/3 before the start of the event. We were initially placer in the poker room, as we are the lowest range in no limit, they broke our table and moved us to temporary area right away. My idea was to at least charge my phone comfortably before the event. That didn't quite work out.

Cash Game Shenanigans at the Shoe, Dream Roll on Craps at Bellagio and Close Run at the Orleans!

On today's menu we have the following:

Cash Game @ Shoe
Short stay @ DDS
Dream Roll @ Bellagio
Close run @ Orleans

Cash Game @ Shoe

Early morning 1/3 cash game action was pretty decent at the Shoe. I was playing for a couple of hours before the start of the DDS at 1PM.

On every board there was an occurrence of K2 (suited or unsuited). There was a raise of $15 and 4 callers, I take a sneak peek and see Kc2c on my BB. Who am I to say no to the hottest hand on this table. I toss my contribution into the pot.

Pot: 6 way, $90ish
Flop: K29, dream flop, I lead 51, Raiser folds, V1 calls. I usually come as goofy/joking at the table and don't get much credit for my range or holdings.
T: J, not a great card for my hand, V still had another 250ish in his stack, and I cover him. I go AI.

Pot: $194 + AI (250). V tanks for some time and makes the call. He has K10os for a top pair gutter ball draw.

R: 6 granted me a nice pot!

Cashed out 350+.

Short Stay at DDS

We were down to our last 15K, then this hand happens:

There was a raise to 800, and a re-pop to 2300. We flat with Pocket 5's. 3way pot.

F: KK5. That looks good, doesn't it?

Bets 2200, I call, heads up now.

Eyes my stack and makes a bet that put me AI. Well! Who am I to refuse your excitement!

V1: AQos Hero: A winning hand!

Built my stack to the highest point of 41k from 25K SS. Lost a few pots where I had open ended draws but didn't get there. That brings us to the last hand of the event.

Last hand:
Called with 10Qos in a three-way pot.

F: KQ3 gave me the middle pair. I shove for my last 6400. V calls. Shows Q9os. I am glad not to see a K here.
T: 9 Whaaaaat!
R:2 and we are out!

Dream Roll @ Bellagio

Planned to play the Orleans 7PM 200 Event. Had a few hours to kill. I realized I haven't played at the Bellagio. The cash game list was very long. So, wandering around Bellagio, bumped into a Crap Less Craps table. It was full and lot of commotion. I was in for 400. Lost a few, hit a few.

One African American gentleman was throwing the dice well. The way he handles the dice, and the way he was throwing them indicated he knew what he was doing (seasoned craps player). So, we take all low for $10. He rolled for a good 20-25 minutes. Hit all the numbers except the Deuce (1 1).

Before his next roll, I threw $10 to the pit staff and say, "Shooter this is for your motivation! A horn bet on 1 1". I know horn bets are the worst, I made some money and $10 looked affordable.

The shooter shoots the dice, hits the back wall, rolls around and ends up with .... 1 1!

Everyone at the table went crazy!!!

30-1 on the low ones - $300
31-1 on the horn bet 1 1 - $310

Cashed out for a nice profit of $436.

Close run @ Orleans

.... to be continued
