Yeah apparently it's standard for them. They must have taken crazy amounts of money. I'm not too worried but even being in this situation is absurd.
Extremely dumb and only happens bc of the lack of competition in the market. None of the big 3 would even exist in a true free market. Sadly the government is so corrupt we will never get that again :(
Its not theft when you agree to the TOS might wanna try reading to what you are agreeing to.

"Inactive Account means a Customer Account which has not recorded any log in or log out for a period exceeding 12 consecutive
months" - From the TOS definitions.
5.12. We reserve the right to close your Customer Account if it is deemed to be an Inactive Account
If they really did close an account and take the money after 90 days, that is against their own TOS.

You were obviously lazy in reading the TOS. Doesn't mean I agree with it. Your account gets closed after a year. You lose your balance after 90 days
Expiry and Forfeiture
8.22. Sweeps Coins are only valid for 90 days from the date you last logged on to your Customer Account and will thereafter
automatically expire.

yea I stopped reading after seeing the account gets closed after a year. Figured that losing your balance was a part of that.
They should probably put those two clauses near each other, not 4 pages later in the middle of cashout rules.

Well we can both agree it shouldnβt happen after 90 days. All sites have this in the TOS but this is the shortest timespan Iβve seen. I havenβt read ACR in a while but it was 6 months. I remember Naggy on twitter saying he wouldnβt enforce that rule but itβs hard to believe anything that comes out his mouth. When the official Global thread was up a rep claimed it was part of the sweepstake model. I donβt buy that either
The people I've heard of having funds taken after inactivity got refunded after contacting support. They're not trying to gotcha and take your balance
ahh yes the ole "Sweepstakes obligation" code of conduct and regulations, sounds super legit for a site operating in gray area. Im not sayin global is some scam site or anything but its laughable how all these sites say they are trying to protect the consumer by doing stuff like this, when almost always its a negative freeroll for said player

Pretty sure its not to protect the player. Its to protect themselves from legal issues. Not sure why its 90 days vs a more reasonable time period though, but Im sure their legal team has its reasons for it.
Its the only US site where you can withdraw directly into your bank account, and no CC fees when depositing, while other sites have 10-20% credit card deposit fees. You actually get a little bit of juice added for higher deposit amounts. ($102 for a $100 deposit).
Those benefits are going to come with downsides in the grey area that is US Online poker.
I notice in my notes people be changing their names, but the notes stay the same thankfully. Both fish and regs. What is this? Why is this allowed?

This ... site is pretty scammy tbh ... but it's sweepstakes poker so to be expected at this point
I reached out to Chase. They said it's definitely on the vendor side and that they have nothing even declined on their end.
It seems like Debit cards work, while credit cards get declined, even if from the same bank.
My guess is this is a vendor decision as it is very easy to challenge a credit card charge and get refunded (and the vendor gets screwed) versus challenging debit card transactions.
I would speculate that Global got burned by folks challenging their CC transactions, given the legal 'grey area' they(Global Poker) can't really protest the charge backs.

name changes arent meant to reinvent yourself so regs have to learn who you are again, it's just a convenience for people who regret picking xXxCvntDestroyerxXx as their handle the first time.

I play at PokerstarsMI since global booted MI players off, my withdrawals are in my bank account within 5-10 mins.

US Wide site... whatever. ACR, BetOnline, Ignition, and Global are the big 4 for most of the US if you dont live in a state where its regulated. And of those 4, Global has the easiest/quickest Deposit/Withdraws especially if you dont want to use crypto.
Is it a Michigan only player pool or do they combine with other states like PA or Delaware or whatever other states have regulated it?

Yea only Nevada, New Jersey, and Michigan merged. Probably good traffic at the moment because of the WSOP in Nevada and everyone in town playing online. When that ends it will be back to an online ghost town for them. Regulation takes way too long. Hearing the software in Nevada is garbage as well. Anything run by state or federal governments goes downhill quickly
I just want to be able to change the color of individual tables, not all of them at once.
I do agree with all the tables/backgrounds being dark and gloomy.
