NBA 2024-25 Season Thread
Lettuce NBA!
and lettuce lol @ James Harden
Probably Jeannie just has a thing for JJ.
It's a crappy job. Unrealistic expectations and Lebron/players have too much influence on how to run the franchise
Don’t even understand why JJ would want the job. Seems like he’s got a solid life and is making great money already. Just that addicted to competition to wreck his life for no reason?
Ego.
Can't believe they pulled the plug on Vancouver after just 6 seasons. Their best win total was 23, how were they supposed to build a fanbase with such utter garbage teams?
yeah david stern said as much when they left, but what are you gonna do? some rich ******* bought the team and wanted to move it, fedex was willing to put a bunch of money in, so there you go. the commish works for the owners, ppl forget that sometimes.

sign for ~5 years guaranteed, get fired after like 6 months and go back to podcasting or whatever. ez game $$$
JJ one of those cats with the 99.99th percentile Dunning-Kruger score.
Maybe this Boston team isn't even real. Like the Mandela Effect plus a black hole changed the universe and now they are a fake team of npcs. They are only there and favored to show how it's Luka's time. They are saying how Boston can guard him, but it's not true. Game 1 Mavs moneyline is +205, easy peezy.
Mavs in 6
Kyrie MVP
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/NBA_Fina...
Iggy
Paul Pierce
Tony Parker
Billups
Are the weakest finals MVPs so far this century.
If Tatum/Irving/Brown won finals MVP then I'd add them to the list too.
Maybe Luka is destined to win. The greatest players make it happen.
Yep. I already got Luka as the clear best player ITL. He's engaged and committed on the defensive end. Jokic doesn't even protect the rim!
Iggy was a joke, Curry should've won that.
Parker/Billups/Pierce all had the same thing in common. All were the best scorers on teams that were elite defensively and won with defense.
Duncan/Wallace/KG some of the best ever defensively.
lol

IIRC, they forced the voters to vote either Iggy or LaBron, and Iggy barely edged LaBron (who would have won if Iggy and Curry could split votes)
Heard a crazy stat today. It's only the 3rd time in like 30 years that the east team is the moneyline series favorite. The other 2 times were 94/95 Rockets and 2011 Mavs.
krispy zinger finally out of the 1st round like tmac, props
edit: oh **** tmac never did it ... i assumed he did at some point, lmao
I never make sports bets. But, I meant to suggest to those of you who do that taking a small flyer bet on Porzingas as Finals MVP might be good.
He obviously looks healthy.
fatman repeatedly getting crossed up by a guy who can't dribble uh2ci
Let's start some naratives
I'm going with Luka isn't ready. Not a true superstar.
And Boston being one of these weird super stacked all around teams that wins the title.
I'm gonna go with "The nuggets were the best team in the west"
Might be an NBA Finals record for one team having the most woman-beating celebrity superfans.
