this is beal trade territory to me, just fun for people to say it was a bad deal for the bucks when it doesn't work out
their offense was gross with middleton/holiday as the 2nd guy, especially with middleton on the decline
think most GMs would've shaken it up and taken the gamble on dame in that spot
jrue was miserable on offense in the playoffs for the bucks, celtics he has way less role/responsibility
only thing id say is if bucks knew celts were getting jrue for 2 bums in a deal that i would start cursing people out if it happened in my fantasy football leagues, then bucks should've just kept him but seems like they had no clue that was coming

He basically gifted Derrick White to them.
White wasn't near the player he is now at time of trade though, he's come a long way as an off ball quick release shooting assassin. By the end of the 2022 finals, he had been played off the court because his offense went into the tank so bad.
But Holiday has been Jrue Holiday for awhile and Celts got him for 2 bench guys that can't stay healthy. Not quite Pau Gasol to the Lakers level trade, but definitely the biggest rip off that I can remember in the last 15 years or so that felt like a total heist at the time. I couldn't believe no one in the NBA could beat that offer, unless Portland GM is just an idiot.
I can't believe the Celtics are doing this without the veteran leadership of Mahcus Smaht.
This series really has highlighted the difference between Luka and Kyrie as offensive forces. Luka is much more versatile offensively, and as a result, is able to solve problems more easily.
There is no reliable way to slow down Luka's scoring.

I'll take the 5th best player of either of these lineups over any other 5th best player in NBA history.

Honestly think he was the absolute wrong hire for the Lakers. That style of coaching is really hard to get NBA players to buy into, so you really need a young team to get it to work. And I think LeBron has no respect for basically any coach except for the very established NBA coaches. So you really just need a yes-man until LeBron retires. And that's also why they aren't winning **** until LeBron retires. This year was a clear indicator that it's over.
6/70 seems like an offer that is just enough for people to say "gee golly hurley turned down 6/70 to stay in college, good for him!" but really by modern nba standards for the $ the league has now, not enough to lure the consensus best college coach into the nba to coach a team with an aging superstar. This doesn't even top what the pistons are giving monty per year.

Player/Coach has been against the rules for some years now. I think Silver could make an exception though, think of the ratings! The clicks! The League Pass extra purchases!

Sadly, Player/Coaches got outlawed in the 80s to avoid teams juking the salary cap. Bron would def do it for free just for the power tho, so that's no issue
