Should pit bull owners be allowed to breed?
I honestly don't think so. And the people who own them should have to take a class to get a special license that holds them criminally libel if the dog does anything to another person or animal.
Cool story time: Tonight I was walking past the Chinese takeout place by my house - I go past this car with windows rolled down and a big ol pit bull staring at me from the passenger seat. Got spooked a little, kept walking. About 10 seconds later I hear dogs going at it and some woman screaming. I went back to help and by the time I got there the dogs were locked onto each other.
The dude had a hold of his dog - the pit bull obv. So I grabbed the other dog, some medium-sized scruffy mutt, and started pulling. It finally let go but the pit bull was clamped on for all it was worth. Luckily it only had the dog by the scruff on the bottom of its neck. The woman of course was hysterical screaming that her dog was dying and calling 911.
The dude was punching the **** out of his dog in the head, telling them to get a butter knife from inside the chinese place. I considered trying to hook the dogs mouth but thought better of it. Finally one of the workers at the chinese place came out with a bucket of cold water that he managed to get all over me as well as the pit bull. Finally the other dog's skin started to slip out of the pit bulls mouth and we got them apart. The dog was ok but a little scraped up. He was wagging his tail 30 seconds later.
No other breed latches on like that and won't let go. Combine it with ****ing cinder block head that's made to destroy whatever it gets a hold of - scary as hell. And not even any warning that I heard. Just shot straight out of the car and attacked. Most other breeds at least bark a while first. Pitbulls stalk.
Caesar Milan is one of my heroes but I think he's wrong about pit bulls. I agree a good owner that gets the animal young enough can make it turn out ok. But you never know when you get some moron owner like this walking around with a loaded weapon leaving his windows rolled down. To the guy's credit he did stick around for the cops and was very nice and apologetic and very very worried about them taking his dog. But why are people so dumb?

Probably not going to be a popular take, and despite his vitriol towards me (still dont understand where that’s coming from), I hope he is ok - but there would for sure be fewer dead toddlers in the world if all the pit nutters offed themselves, and it’s one of those weird trolly problems where I can’t really say that’d be a net bad thing.

The lady with the lead clearly had no control of it as she had mud (I'll give her the benefit of the doubt it was mud) all over her fat ass and down her leg, where the dog had clearly pulled her over no long before.

Of course she didn't. Nobody does. That's why the people with 8 braincells shouldn't be allowed the choice. That's why people with more than 8 braincells need to spread truthful information about these mutant dogs and the danger they possess. That way, the likeminded people who've been duped by misinformation and personal experience can open their eyes. We are working against a well-funded lobby that rakes in millions to promote them as misunderstood. Silence is more harmful than awareness.
I get ASPCA ads with these demons in them all the time and the comments are filled with people who donate to save the poor pibbles. The "ASPCA in 2021 had $390 million in revenue and $575 million in assets, including $310 million in investments and $105 million in savings." Why the **** do they need donations?! They can single-handedly save whatever they want, even though they know the humane thing is increasing kill shelters and breeding out these dumb dogs. It is a racket that disingenuously promotes harmful dogs as misunderstood, earning insane profits for POS organizations the public trusts. They know people like that woman who got her entire arm ripped off by her own dogs are the result. It's their misinformation that leads to it. I'd be pretty annoyed if my friends knew I was putting myself and others in serious danger, including a brutally painful death, but didn't pass me a note detailing such.

That being said I dont think the whole part about calling all supporters idiots is necessary. We know for sure that 6ix is an idiot from his behaviour in this thread. many other might just be uninformed.
Also as a courtesy it would be nice to add some warning to videos of a person getting mauled by dogs.

What kind of warning would you like? So far, we have:
- You're in a thread designated for discussion about violent fighting dogs that regularly kill people.

- A link posted right after from reddit.com/r/BanPitBulls and the URL containing "limerick_xl_bully_attack" right after.

- Right after, I post pictures of the beast with the owner with captions indicating that the owner died before her mutant dog, just like she wished.
I don't suppose you might perform your own due diligence to ensure you're not clicking a link that just might be to a video of an XL Bully in Limerick, Ireland ripping the arm of it's owner in a fatal attack?
It's 2024 and we're 68 pages deep. If you're uninformed at this point, you're deliberately so. What information do you need to entertain the idea that society doesn't need dogs that rip off their owner's arms while mauling them to death? It might just be easier to call the nutters idiots and hopefully mobilize the rest of you to write your local legislators to ban the dogs instead of writing me to cover your eyes. As a courtesy, it would be nice to not have to worry about a dog mauling me with no warning.

This would be funny if it wasn't sad but there's an animal shelter around here that advertises dogs that need homes and the current dog they're advertising is a pit bull terrier mix with a super cute name. All through the advertisement they are basically saying this dog is a handful including a warning at the end that the home can't have any cats or small children.
