WSOP Landmark Satellites

WSOP Landmark Satellites

Do these formats pay 10% of the field? You just get out early if you amass a 10x stack? I looked at structure sheet and it’s not entirely clear.

When you hit the milestone, you tell the dealer and they will pause action at your table to summon the floor. Once the amount is verified, your stack will be taken out of play and you will receive the payout.

I played one of the $240 at 3pm. I was first to hit the "landmark" of 100,000 chips. Actually hit 107,000 when I knocked another player out. It was about 4 hours in and yes, floor was called and all my chips were taken out of play.

Payout was a bit convoluted, you had to have your info recorded in tournament area on 3rd floor of Provenance Room located in Horseshoe past their poker room, not the where bracelet WSOP take place.

Anyway, after recording "win" was sent to 2nd floor of Provenance to record it again, then sent over to Paris Champagne Room to once again verify at desk/computer THEN go to WSOP cage where I had to wait for paperwork and was told I'd be paid in chips that I could cash at cage in Paris Casino. WTF!!! Seriously, I was like aren't you a cage, when I getting paid and the staff was like yeah, I guess. So I asked if I could cash chips with him, they left came back and said OK. It was really bizarre.

I'm surprised they cashed them for you. Vegas wants those chips in your pocket as long as possible, hoping you can no longer resist the urge to gamble.

If they only pay players hitting the milestone, it’s conceivable that less than 10% get paid. That’s why I ask. At Orleans, the Milestone structure sheet says “1 in 10” get paid.

Some discussion on this in the WSOP thread in the events forum:

They also have these at the Orleans, but they're called bankroll builders, or something like that.
