1/3 Gross Flop Spot 3b Pot
1/3
V - 800 - MAWG, been playing pretty tight. Is a bit weak tight and is scared of getting outdrawn. Have seen him jam over the size of the pot on multiple occasions with presumably overpair'ish hands.
H - 600 - Youngish guy, been playing tight past few hours. Very card dead. Showed a few hands where I got it in on the flop with strong draws. One hand c/r ai with T7hh on a T94hh board and got called by QJhh and lost. Another raised a small cbet on AJ8r board with T9s and got it in and got lucky.
UTG - H - raises to 20 with JJ
UTG+1 - V raise to 70
UTG+2 - flat calls 70
BTN - flat calls 70
BB - flat calls 70
H - calls
(is a crazy game)
Flop: KJTr (350 pot)
SB checks, H bets 200, V jams for 530 effective, folds around, H can't ever fold???
Was debating c/r is probably better. The villain for sure never 3b AQ suited or offsuit. This feels like a standard call with AA/QQ in the mix. Obviously don't need a spoiler here. But wonder if I'm mistaken if usually players never raise a pair here even in 3b pots. He has really bad relative position.

Pot is already 1080 with 330 to call. So yeah its a snap call.
I'm assuming he had KK, that sucks...
Yeah sure. Am just kinda lost on the flop altogether. Should check/jam? Check/call and let him bet it off? Or if there's a lot of action is there a place to find a fold? And if betting how much? It seems kinda stupid as it's about top of my range. It really seems like a check/jam spot as it's damn near impossible for the 3b to have missed this flop. Like he's always going to bet. Maybe he checks QQ.
He would probably do that with AA and AK too and its not much more to call, so yes just jam now.
Wow, this game seems insane.
I just limp in.
I'd also just overcall the preflop 3bet to ~setmine.
I think I check (to evaluate) the flop.
As played, gross spot. I mean, obviously more combos of AA/AK than KK... but do those worse combos just YOLO shove this flop this multiway for this amount of $$$$?

I'd rather x/jam. Just feels like far more favorable variations of actions can happen than when we lead.
Thanks for the replies all!

FWIW, there wasn't much 3betting going on in the game. So there's a good chance the pot could get limped through. Dunno if that changes your logic.

This guy was weak af. But even just AA/KK I'm a 2:1 favorite yeah. I was honestly so concerned this guy was so wimpy he would check it through. He offered me 50 to fold preflop and I wanted to take it, but then he reneged.

There’s a <2:1 SPR in a 5-way pot where you have the relative button. Literally the only bad node for your checking branch is all 3 IP players check and the turn is one of 12 cards.
It could be a good exercise to just go through all the other possible nodes, gain appreciation for how many of them there are (xxbf, xbcf, brff, xxx 2 turn b, xxx 2 turn x, etcetcetcetc), and see how much better so many of them are for you.

Yoi're on th right path there. What do you think he likely does the 3 bet with. IF you're discounting a AQ, then you're looking at AA, KK, AK or QQ. Sadly this is a situation where bad players who should fold stay in the hand and bloat the pot.
Does his action make sense for those hands? I mean for him, he has close to a pot sized bet. Very well could have the not folding mentality. HIs action makes sense for AA, KK or even QQ though less likely. There's not really a way you can fold here. There's a VERY good chance he had KK though.
Did you get any reads from him at all?
PS. If the idiots at the table are calling 3bets in these situations, then open for mroe.
