What language do the Belgians speak to each other in?
It depends on whom is speaking to whom. Most of them are bilingual (FR + NL) so it will be either of the two. There's a small minority of combination where neither of the player is strong at the other's language and then it will be EN
and one game later it actually happened
btw automatic offside VAR should have a rom shaped sprite in its database
I kinda wanna see the work behind this "automatic" offside cause I find it hard to believe there's no margin of error
Do you remember when they were drawing the lines live and people were so pissed when marginal offsides were called because it's ruining the game blabla?
Sounds like the solution was to just not draw the lines on tv, call it "automatic" and then people no longer have an issue with the rule despite the margins being the same
Not gonna lie, taking 5 minutes less to arrive at the same dodgy decision helps
yeah if the automated offside technology is actually paul the octopus in a back room spitting out rando decisions, i'm fine with it. as long as it's quick.

I don't think VAR has ever claimed to have no margin or error. Virtually everything in life has a margin of error.
The issue as I see it has always been the costs of arriving at improved decisions. VAR has nearly always been superior in removing the really bad decisions, where someone is a mile offside or it's a Henry-style handball.
However, the issue is the more marginal the decision, and therefore the less important it is that the decision is scrutinised, the longer it takes. The disallowed Holland goal the other night is a good example of this, where everyone is standing around for what feels like 5 mins and eventually the original decision stands.
Huge game tonight for us COME ON SCOTLAND! If we win then surely 4 points will be enough to go through as one of the best 3rd place teams (knowing our luck it won't be lol)
If we draw and finish on 2 points then we need 2 of 3 things to happen:
1. Albania and Croatia to both lose tomorrow for that group to finish 9,6,1,1
2. England to thrash Slovenia by 4+ goals and Denmark to beat Serbia for group to finish 7,5,2,1
3. Czechia and Georgia both to lose for that group to finish 9,6,1,1
Kick-off ordered to be retaken could really set the tone for this whole game
cheering for scotland here,
but i must admit to being intrigued by the possibility of this random english bloke inexplicably popping up in the hungarian national team's midfield and scoring a goal that boots the scots out of the cup
Oh and that's a bad miss
Shocker that both of these teams have scored in this tournament
Both our goals were own goals remember!
quite a brexity game.
interesting that the draw is less than 2/1, feels like both teams should do a banzai charge if its a draw with 10 mins to go. maybe the markt thinks that the scots will settle for a draw
No chance we'd settle for a draw we need 2 out of 3 of those unlikely scenarios to happen

If the coaches are smart enough, they've pre-arranged a coin flip if the score is tied at 90th minute
Another reason the 2/3rd of the teams going through is dumb is that Group F has perfect information on what is required for 3rd places while group A is completely blind

it's going to be miles worse at the next World Cup as well, unless they managed to figure out a way to stop all the riggery that will go on.
:( Hope he is all right.
I still have no idea what has happened here

Optimizing the 2026 World Cup Format
Very bad head injury I think, he looked out cold on the pitch after. They didn't replay the incident as it looked so nasty. It was an accident and not sure what the potential pen check was over.
The point is I can't work out where it happened - my first assumption was Gunn punched someone in the face, but we've seen one replay where he seemingly did nothing and that's it
**** off VAR
