They always do that. It's insane and they should be held accountable. There's a bit written on that language, actually. They follow some manual from the pit lobby to churn out more garbage dogs to unsuspecting people. Seriously, check the local shelter in some other state or Google a short section of the descriptio....
That's what I'm specifically researching how to combat against with local legislation. Straight-forward and honest assessments. That and DNA tests for the dogs or holding the shelter accountable for all the "lab mixes" they consistently identify pitbulls as. If we can make it as difficult as it should be to rehome dangerous dogs, hopefully these clown shoes will start sterilizing and euthanizing them. They are describing lethal dogs that a prone to escaping the house, can't be around other dogs, children, cats, etc. It's unreal. Look at this ****. Obviously this will return plenty of hits. What is the point of even having a dog if it's so stupid and shitty that it can't be around other living things because it might kill them?
Seems like a long shot in my city/state that refuse to acknowledge breed is an excellent determiner for harm potential and danger. Regardless, there should be no way a local shelter is allowed to dress up problematic dogs with cutesy euphemisms, especially related to bite histories or past attacks.

Feel like it should probably not be legal for randos to own animals that could reasonably be able to bring down and kill a 20-something adult woman if they get loose. Am I missing something here, is this Nanny State thinking if I don't want potentially hazardous animals in my neighborhood?

This is why I am no longer debating whether it's the owner or the breed with these idiots. Who gives a ****? Society does not need "pets" that can viciously kill adult humans for nothing. There's no way to ever reliably remove bad owners, doors left open, fences failing, or a baby coughing to prevent these attacks.
I submitted two public records requests for my county and another nearby for all animal control records. If y'all have an easy service setup like that in your city, put in a request and see what comes back.

I'm reasonably confident I'll be getting some decent records from King County, but Snohomish doesn't seem to have anything exportable. No idea how that works when they have online complaint forms, but we shall see.

I got back some records from my county, by the way. It's about what you'd expect:
On the above date and time, the defendant's dogs "Lucy" and "Pookie" were reported to have been running loose in the area and attacked the complainant's cat causing fatal injuries. Dogs also charged a witness to the incident all the way up to their front door.

Brea stated that was when her husband arrived at the house. Brian stated that he went indoor to retrieve his gun, .22, and went back outside. Brian stated he fired 4 times, did not believe he hit either of the dogs stating he was attempting to fire warning shots. They stated that was when Animal Control and Covington PD arrived on scene . Brian walked me over to the Alpacas; I first inspected the deceased one Rythen. I documented the fatal injuries indicating the most of it being about the face and neck. The skin about the chin and mouth had been peeled back the under portion of the neck was gashed and openly exposed, which had large amounts of pooling blood. Also close by the body were other pooled puddles of blood along with torn fur and disturbed mud track marks from the dogs.
I then inspected the alive Alpaca, Hershey. The Alpacas was in a lying position, visibly exhausted from the incident and allowed me to place hand on him which Brian stated was unusual. I was able to document and indicate the injuries; both ears and muzzle had multiple lacerations which were actively bleeding, portions of the ears had been split open. The Alpaca also had a puncture wound on its belly area, was unable to move or inspect the rest of the Alpaca. Brian advised that they have already contacted Plateau Vet and were having a someone come out to provide treatment for Hershey . I provided both Brian and Brea complaint forms/ witness statements to fill out which I advised would be retrieved at a later date (and attached to related case A23-00)
I then moved to the two neighboring properties, first spoke with Amber at [address] who willingly filled out a witness statement. Amber advised that she heard the commotion and had gone out to observe the two Pit Bulls attacking the neighbors Alpaca (was currently unaware that another lied deceased) and began yelling and throwing rocks at the dogs in attempt to cease the attack, however accidently uncovered a wasp's nest and had to retreat inside.
Just another neighborhood ruined by these garbage dogs.
