Maybe. It is the same color! :p

BTW if you read the story, that guy is an idiot. The ole driving while texting... What makes me wonder about the drivers statement is that if he was actually using self-driving and texting, the tesla internal camera would have seen it and would have immediately started complaining and disabled self-driving.

driving while texting is insanely dangerous. I'm surprised society has so far kinda just shrugged its shoulders about it

For the last 8 months I’ve been growing a fruit tree from seed in a teacup using nothing but water and it’s working. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with the tree.

In Spain they use a point system for drivers licenses. You have 12 points and if you ever get to 0, you lose your license and need to sign up for practices+exam to regain it. I'm not sure how quick you can do that, though.

Using your mobile while driving is -6 points. So if you get caught twice, say bye bye to your driver's license

What is the point of a self driving car that doesn't drive itself? I really want a Tesla, but the whole point, for me, is to let the car drive me places without my having to pay attention.

More eyes on the road. Never gets tired or distracted. The workload on the driver is way less.

Yesterday, I was driving in my minivan down to San Diego in stop and go traffic. How I wished I was driving my Tesla.

Also, self-driving is super useful when driving in an unknown area. It knowing (most of the time) when and where to turn sure helps getting around.

Project Manager is the worst job ever.

I got dismissed today. That's about the 5th time that happens. End of project, end of job.

The last time that happened, I was w/o job for 8 months. Hopefully, this time it will be quicker, but I'm not too confident. Age doesn't help much in the competitive job market of today on Spain

good luck Gabe!

sorry :(

wish you could get a job making/running ww games

Damn sorry to hear that. :(

I always assumed that Europe has a ton of employee protection laws. Did they at least give you a decent severance?

Sorry to hear that man. My team got axed in March after we completed one of the most important engineering projects our company did in the last year...make it make sense. Sending you good vibes man

Just guessing that he's not an employee but a freelancer contracted by the company.

13.3 k€

I was making 3.5k€ net per month, that will now reduce to 1.2k€ (I think) unemployment government support.

I need to find a job in 5-6 months and my family's economy will not suffer

Cybertruck already up to 4 large-scale recalls makes me smile for some reason.

That has to be some kind of Elon SuperTroll, right? Oh hey, I bet I can make the ugliest vehicle on the market, call it a truck but without any truckish practicality, make it way overpriced and my zealots will STILL buy it. (Insert Elon coughlaugh from taking too big of a hit here)

Hyperloop was more trolly than cybertruck

mars colony probably even more than hyperloop

Elon as a father and husband, also pretty trolly

oh, and twitter

also, receiving govt handouts, and then complaining about govt handouts

challenging Zuckerberg to a fight, and then backing out

I like the look of the cyber truck, though I would never own one.

I would love a Cybertruck. But I'm too cheap. My sighting count is at 16.

I've been rewatching Seinfeld recently and realized how much of my personality is just a portmanteau of the characters.

Kramer's hair or personality?

Creative use of portmanteau there. You might try looking it up in the dictionary before you start throwing it around.

I'm glad they can't actually make it up into the mountains, you know, like a truck. Sighting count 0!

Language is as it is used. As you say - creative, but the message was clear enough.

By the way, I used to hold the opposite opinion, until I started listening to linguistics lectures.

agree

and linguistics is surprisingly interesting

Chomsky thinks language was evolved primarily for thinking to ourselves, organizing our thoughts. he says our vast majority use of language is just to communicate with ourselves.

also Chomsky says he can't keep track of all the silly rules of grammar, and so called proper use of English

he says they're pretty arbitrary, and classist. and yeah, language is as it's used

I'm at 4, which is pretty impressive considering that our franchise laws prevent Tesla from having any meaningful presence here.

Also: Chomsky is a dolt, lol Chomsky.
